Salsaretta is the horse from the usual connections. Yet to run in Ireland but had a small setback which seen her miss Christmas. Shes on course for the grade 3 mares race at the end of Jan at Fairyhouse that Limini won first time out on course to winning the mares novice.
No idea how good she is mind but had a small go on her at bigger prices just incase they’ve bought the right one again for this.January 10, 2018 at 13:30 #1336744Nice one – Cheers.
I’ll see how she gets on at fairyhouse. Mullins’ best novice Mares usually get really well supported.
I remember liminis price on the day going from about 9/4 to 5/4 last year and never looked like getting beat.
Liked Dame De Compagnie antepost for Henderson in the years race but he ran poorly at Cheltenham which has dented my confidence somewhat.
January 10, 2018 at 14:12 #1336754Connections of salsaretta were under the mindset that they “wouldnt be worried taking on fayonagh” bold enough… given how good fayonagh was
January 10, 2018 at 18:13 #1336784Blimey – that’s interesting. From everything I’ve heard on the mare, she certainly sounds the Mullins horse.
Could be a bet for this
January 10, 2018 at 18:52 #1336794I’m not sure it matters as Cap Soleil’s going to take that handily
January 10, 2018 at 18:53 #1336795Mind you, on Mr Mullins – does he have anything for the Bumper yet?
January 10, 2018 at 21:56 #1336815Plenty for the bumper, the ricci horse is yet to appear also
Cap Soleil’s going to take that handily
Was bitterly disappointed with her recently, thought she looked impressive first run, not so keen anymore, i think apples shakira will run in the mares novice also, could be a decent race this hear
January 10, 2018 at 21:59 #1336816Only the favourite.
Hollowgraphic, Champion Bumper winner of 2018.. remember the name.January 10, 2018 at 23:00 #1336824Indeed. I said the same on the Champion Bumper thread.
Absolute monster of a horse. The comments from Patrick Mullins about the horse he’s most excited about and he said him just shows what they think of him.
As for the mares, Apples Shakira going here would be sore as I’m all over her for the triumph.
January 14, 2018 at 10:51 #1337428I’ gonna try and guess the number one Mullins horse (Ruby’s rides mainly) for the festival (all going well);
Supreme – Sharjah
Arkle – Footpad (Daryl Jacob)
Ultima – Acapella Bourgeois
Champion Hurdle – Faugheen (hopefully)
Mares Hurdle – Lets Dance
National Hunt Chase – Bacardys
Close Brothers – Al Boum Photo
Ballymore – Getabird
RSA – Rathvinden
Coral Cup – Bapaume
Champion Chase – Douvan (hopefully)
Champion Bumper – Hallowgraphic (Patrick Mullin’s ride)
JLT – Invitation Only
Ryan Air – Un De Sceaux
Stayers – Penhill
Mares Novice Hurdle – Mystic Theatre
Triumph – Stormy Ireland
County Hurdle – Merie Devie
Albert Bartlett – Next Destination
Gold Cup – DjakadamStill some lovely potential rides still available for Townend;
Antey, Killultagh Vic, Melon, Yorkhill, Min, Total Recall, Bachasson, Bennie Des Dieux, Great Field
January 14, 2018 at 11:04 #1337433Also Bamako Moriviere form is exceptional. Other horses, ballyward, battleford, black Hercules, demi sang, Wicklow brave
January 14, 2018 at 20:32 #1337484If he makes the festival, he’s the JLT winner
January 14, 2018 at 22:36 #1337496Bapaume will go stayers, ruby wont be on djakadam in the gc and townend wont be on great field either
January 14, 2018 at 22:50 #1337498Who will Ruby be on in the gold cup? No other option than Djakadam is there?
January 14, 2018 at 23:39 #1337502Killutagh Vic and Bachasson are two possibilities.
Total Recall and Acapella Bourgeois are both entered too but neither have a hope
January 15, 2018 at 00:00 #1337506He will likely be on total recall, even though he isnt good enough, but if kilultagh vic bolts up in the kinloch brae or the red mills then i wouldnt be surprised to see him aboard, unless djakadam was to come out and win something well i think he will pass him up.
January 15, 2018 at 02:43 #1337509Had forgotten about KV. You’d expect he rides him if he runs.
Didn’t even know Bachasson was a Mullins horse.
