Don’t know how I missed this. Edwina gave a talk at our local vicarage and was so smug and vile that I got up and walked out because I wanted to punch her. And I’m not renowned for being a violent person. Someone that was at the meeting came to my house later to see if I was ok. When I said I was sorry to have disrupted the meeting she said ‘somebody had to do it’. I think Edwina was angry because she usually only turned up at events where she could get a lot of publicity and only a few of us turned up.

I like all the old threads even the banal. They were all experimental and bring back the old and some lost and even some dead voices. You used to find spatterings of Razzle the Dazzle, but he’s been largely edited out of history like a bad smell. He’s rusted and warped and his doll don’t work any more. Time takes its toll but he has been seriously attacked after dark by the Raz haters. They wear cloaks and have long faces!
