I might be at Haydock on Saturday depending on how I feel Saturday morning :)
January 17, 2007 at 16:27 #103229I think I need to move to Wolverhampton.
Back there tomorrow with Taj and possibly there on Monday with Teddy.
January 18, 2007 at 15:13 #103230Musselburgh tomorrow (Friday) with 3 horses
January 18, 2007 at 22:39 #103231I’m green go for the point-to-point at High Easter on Sunday, weather permitting. Any ideas on the admission price for this one? The PtP phonelines haven’t proffered one as yet, unless I’ve misheard them.

James and Steve shared Higham last week but today we got the razor sharp wit of Iain Mackenzie.
Ah yes, Iain’s back from his winter hols, isn’t he! I’ve heard him at Huntingdon and Fakenham as well in the last week.
That Open form reads pretty well – Ballylusky is no mug, and of course Latzod’Alm won the Hiscox Intermediate Final at Cheltenham last Spring. I presume Persian Hero is with Gerard Bailey now following Caroline’s taking out of a license?
Ampton will have felt like a trip back home for Millennium Way, surely.

January 21, 2007 at 10:43 #103233Arse biscuits. High Easter has been called off, and in a tight month I can’t really afford the £20 to get into Dunthrop instead, never mind feed myself once inside. Towcester it is, then – no bad substitute, obviously, but I do want to try places I’ve not yet been to (in particular eastern and southern PtP venues) as often as is possible this year.

The unofficial rule for P2Ps this season is if they are charging per car at the gate meetings are obliged to offer a discount to single person occupants. If they don’t, you should seek out the secretary once inside and ask for a percentage of your admission back.
January 21, 2007 at 18:42 #103235Ah well, so I could have got into Dunthrop for something more affordable after all! Hey ho. It was hardly a bad day at Towcester, apart from Thommo’s gurning and arsing behind the mic – your three year-old made more sense all afternoon (as well as tipping one more winner than me)!

January 26, 2007 at 11:52 #103241As of next week my Uni lectures are back on.
There was me with a positive, dedicated mentality towards the rest of the academic year.
Then my britishhorseracing.com free racing diary arrived this morning, and I think I’ll be skipping at least three lectures in February alone.
Sod it, it’s what they’re there for.
January 26, 2007 at 14:10 #103242That’s the spirit girl ~ we’ll turn you into a racing obsessed, jobless lunatic yet (I highly recommend it actually).
January 26, 2007 at 17:32 #103243You’re a God awful influence, boy.
Carry on.

January 26, 2007 at 18:33 #103244First Cheltenham Festival entries – Zoz and Zome should both be turning out twice, on Champion Hurdle day and Gold Cup day, spending the two days in between larking about in betting shops, pubs and on the Zome’s living room floor with many a bottle of wine.
It’s a good life!
