    Hi RH

The way I would do this is to click on News Archive from the options on the home page:

Write "stable tour" in the box marked "search for headline"
and change the "from date" to 28 June 2008 (ie limit the search to one year)
click on the red search box and they appear

(However – and this may have been your problem – there are viewing restrictions if an article only appeared in the print version of the newspaper – members only)

If you click on "help" on the home page (unlike many "help" features on other sites, this one is very helpful!)
    http://www.racingpost.com/help/help_centre.sd
there’s a guide to navigating the site together with a video tour and a feedback link for any points you’d like to make, have fun!

The weirdest thing for me is just clicking on a horse’s name on the racecard, instead of getting its form, you get taken to Betfred, WillHill, Sportingbet etc etc.

I had to sign up when I saw this – I have had this exact same problem!

However, it also occurs when I am trying to select a race text commentary (especially if its the last race on the card) and with some of the Live Reporter links. Click on ’em and get take to a bookie site, usually William Hill.

As Lee reads here, there is another thing that occurred to me – I would really like to see form include when a horse has turned up for, but not started, a race. I noticed a horse recently was described as having returned from a 50 day layoff – except it had actually been entered for a race three weeks previously and broke the stalls.

While the horse didn’t actually run, rather than having a break it would have been tuned up for a run. In addition it would be useful to know if a horse has a problem with stalls/starting. Whilst if they plant it appears as RR, if they don’t load up at all it doesn’t…

Sounds a good idea to me Roseblossom – if a horse has been withdrawn at late notice it would be useful to know the reason when looking back at the form later on. Leave it with me and I’ll see what others think.

Regarding the business of being diverted when clicking on form or Live Reporter, this still never happens to me. Maybe others can help again – would this be computer settings (like pop-up stopper)?

I have also tried to recreate using different browsers and with different settings and cannot recreate.

Pop-up blockers should not make any difference as the link from the site to wherever you want to go comes from the "href" which should be embedded in the site itself.

The only possible remedy I could suggest is when this happens go to the Tools section of the browser and flush out "Temporary Internet Files" this may solve the problem – otherwise I am not too sure. Do this even if you have the "delete temporary files on exit" option set in your browser – that option does not always work properly.

    Hi Lee,

    thank you for that :)

With the diverting to bookies, there’s no obvious reason for it. I use Opera "clean", without any plug-ins, and 95% of the time it works perfectly well. But when it feels like taking me to a bookies site, that’s just what it does!
