I’ve just seen that you posted your bet on Dominateur late on the 26th, BigG. Was that after final declarations perhaps? Maybe they only retained the bets that were placed before that?

Cheers Oscar, I should have realised that. I wasn’t thinking as to when I placed
the bet, I normally have them ante post for such races but this one was after
the final decs. I hope we get a good run out of him tomorrow :good:

I’ve backed Vieux Lion Rouge two weeks ago at 22/1 EW. That bet is still standing, he is a bigger price now unfortunately. Two weeks extra rest after his win at Aintree is a plus though. I also like Lord du Mensil as a real mud stayer.

The Favourite is very short for a horse going up in distance , he has little weight but I’ve got to take him on , this will take some getting in the ground ( as usual ) so I’m going with the hollow ginge , that last run looked a good prep for this , also this looks like the plan for Christmas in April , trainer knows how to win this , both played e.w , good luck all

Haven’t got a strong fancy for this but BOBO MAC is consistent and gets in here with a low weight which must help.

Second choice is Ramses De Teillee who will keep on to the end if it’s a gping day. Can be a bit in and out, but it’s his sort of race.

    Some trends..

18/18 – Had won between 1-5 chase races before
18/18 – Raced within the last 7 weeks
18/18 – Had won over at least 3m before (fences)
    16/18 – Aged 9 or younger
16/18 – Placed in the top 4 last time out

    That would leave…

    Springfield Fox
    The Two Amigos
    Secret Reprieve

Trends are there to be broken as some say HDLG. Those who have backed alternatives will share that view i’m sure ;-)

I think that 16-1 is a great price for Lord Du Mesnil, and he’s my main bet.

I’ve also taken Joe Farrel 50-1 ew 7 places, and 66-1 ew 6 places.

Good race and you could make a case for most of them. I’m going to go with the Harry Fry horse who has a tongue tie on, and my old pal Joe Farrell even though he would prefer quicker ground.

Winner has done that very well

WD Mike with the first two, and Silver Spoon and sporting sam with the winner too. Yhanks goodness for the overgirth!

Really pleased for Evan Williams too :good:
