I’ve already bet Doddiethegreat fur Stayers Hurdle, and though not easy to put him up ahead of his stablemate, I think he wouldn’t be out of place in it. Don’t really need to bet him here, but thought I’d cover. Getting punted, and tried to beat the 14’s. Completely missed it
Lavida Adiva possibly underrated in the market, and a good winner last time. She’s one to consider on Thursday
Edit – Cashed out, small bet only, and don’t want him having a hard slog with Stayers in mind.

I backed Strong Leader last time but like him less at the weekend coz its Cheltenham and the trainer vibes. He said after his last run… “I would say we’re more likely to go to the Cleeve then back to Aintree, than Cleeve, Stayers then Aintree”
I don’t see that as a negative… If anything they can go full throttle given that he will have longer to recover whereas the others may have the big day in March in the back of their mind

Olly also said in his stable tour there is prize money to be won on flat tracks with him. It’s quite clear he believes he’s not a Cheltenham horse from what he’s been saying.
Barring an ‘off day’ i expect Impose Toi will beat him again.There’s prize money to be won here Mike … Olly took ages putting this horse up in distance, the first time he did it, he came 3rd just over a length behind Noble Yeats and Paisley Park in this race. The only other time he raced at Cheltenham at this distance came in this race last year off the back of wind surgery and racing wide.
If Olly wants more flat track opportunities he could always put Strong Leader over a fence… but having said that he’d probably run him at 2 miles for three years again…Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

Yes i know, no other suitable race on a flat track to go for between Ascot and Aintree so they may as well get what they can in this.
In his opinion
Stayers Hurdle at Cheltenham is more than suitable… Like I said since stepping up in trip he’s ran a blinder to nearly win against Noble Yeats and Paisley Park and finished 4th running wide after wind surgery
however they haven’t run him at Cheltenham at this distance at the festival when the going will be likely better

Impose Toi should win however the price difference between him and Strong Leader is big enough
He’s style of running means he tends to leave it late so the distance of his wins isn’t likely to be massive and the two were closer at Newbury when the going was softer.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
