    The best price about

    Long Run

winning the 2011 Gold Cup is 12/1. What does that tell you about his reputation? Even in the Kingdom i solely rule, that is short! Give me 33/1 and i would fill my boots! Mikael is 25/1, too many health issues for my liking now i"m afraid!

I haven’t written him off as a sure faller tomorrow, far from it, I think he’ll win tomorrow, the opposition in mediocre by Cheltenham standards, what I said is I don’t think he’ll get round in The Arkle and I don’t think he’s good enough to win The RSA even if he does get round.

The logic for those who believe he’ll win the Arkle is to hammer him tomorrow, pick up "money to nothing" at 4/9 and add around 33% to their Arkle stakes which, assuming he sets off at an SP of 6-1 or thereabouts, means thats those odds are turned into a 9-1 thanks to the extra stake money picked up in tomorrow’s "formality"

Or is there a nagging doubt in your mind that he might get turned over tomorrow?

I dont recall seeing that quoted anywhere!

You’ll just have to trust me, TAPK.

No problem, i have silly prices about horses myself, who cares really? I personally cant see the point in telling lies myself! Its hard enough trying to remember form lines, never mind about trying to remember prices!

Who said he will win the Arkle?

33% of my stake is about £8, but my average odds are 169.65. I’m sure that even you can understand why I feel no compunction to back him at odds-on in the Kingmaker – a race in which I fully expect him to piss-up pulling cart.

I trust this makes my position clear.

Kingsciffe was 14-1 for The Gold Cup with some layers after he won the Hunters and ended up as low as 5-1
Cappa Bleu was as low as 25-1 after his Hunter win tpo beat Denman and Kauto Star this year!!! 2500-1 would be too low
    Says it all!!
Long Run is just this years bookies Holiday Money

PS Is anyone quoting An Siorrac for the 2011 or 2012 Gold Cup

Like I said, I expect him to win tomorrow

I’ve no wish to be a "bookmaker" I will lay him by opposing him at The Festival

Cheltenham, you have a mental block about hunter chasers being Gold cup winners, Kingscliffe was never a Gold cup horse i"m afraid! You folk up there in the Highlands wake up to a Cool dawn every morning and its very rare you will see any different!

Sort of right, I did think Kingscliffe would win a Gold Cup, I never did rate Cappa Bleu (Posted him on here as one for you betfair freaks to lay) but if ever I’ve seen a futute star early in his career its another hunter chaser, An Siorrac, this horse ia a real machine, the real deal, provided of course his training setback has no lasting effect but he’s a big, young horse in very good hands so fingers crossed

Presumably then….if you believe your own posts……you have "filled your boots" at 1/2?

I dont like saying it but as soon as a horse gets an injury, its an instant black mark hanging over their future!I"m afraid Mikael has a fragile profile now too!

Think he’ll be much better at 2m 4f+ though Grassy – I do appreciate you want to have it off in both Novice Chases

Considering Long Run is being touted by many on here as virtually "the second coming" sure he should be at similar odds at Warwick tomorrow to those on offer about Denman in The Aon?

Surely every one who belives this should pile on every cent they can lay their hands on considering Long Run is on offer at 4/9 while Denman is 1/6 in The Aon.

As I said money for nothing even though he needed to be rousted to shake of the Plumpton horse but those sort of errors would floor him in THe RSA or Arkle
