Ginger, doesn’t it worry you that Coo Star Sivola (whose best hurdles and chase RPRs are similar) has the following record in Britain?
Class 1: 7 runs, best RPRs 135 and a cluster 130-135.
Class 2: 4 runs, best RPR of 141 three times.
Classes 3 & 4: 3 runs including two best RPRs of 148 & 149.Not in the slightest bit worried of that, GM.
If looking at the Class 1’s, most were in his youth. ie Impoved a lot since then.
Class 2’s mainly against top class horses in slower run races over 2 1/2 miles.
Last time out was a Class 3, but the significant thing surely being the step up in trip? Form has been generally progressive, ran well last time out and suited by conditions – which is pretty much unique in this field. Plus, the fact he’s been placed at the Festival (Fred Winter and Martin Pipe).Just hope the jockey times it right.
Value Is EverythingMarch 12, 2018 at 21:04 #1346003Over the years this has been one of the most profitable races for me. Fingers crossed for CSS, RDT and SC.
Value Is EverythingMarch 12, 2018 at 22:09 #1346021Lucky race for me the last two years, Un Temps pour tout (16-1, then 9-1), so with keep faith with Rameses de teillie
March 12, 2018 at 22:27 #1346032Terrible record here. On Coo Star Sivola at 9/1 e/w. Might have a little taste of Yala Enkei at 20’s with the ground in mind
March 12, 2018 at 23:33 #1346067Yala Enki, Cogry and Shantou Flyer for me… was tempted by some of the market leaders though…
March 13, 2018 at 05:55 #1346094I want to back Yala Enki but that was a seriously tough race LTO and I just can’t get past it
March 13, 2018 at 07:25 #1346097Ramses De Teille. Got taught an invaluable lesson when racing against the legend Elegant Escape last time.
March 13, 2018 at 08:16 #1346104With the emphasis on stamina I too have backed Cogry and added the slugger Vintage Clouds and the Scottish National hero.
Vintage Clouds 9/1
Vicente 16/1
Cogry 16/1March 13, 2018 at 15:00 #1346208Phew!
Value Is EverythingMarch 13, 2018 at 15:07 #1346209WD GT, Vautour and everyone with place money. Good race
March 13, 2018 at 16:03 #1346231Well done winners
I screamed Shantou Flyer home. With my other horse placing in BTB, I’m delighted with the place money for them both. Though I really thought Shantou may get there.
March 13, 2018 at 18:54 #1346279Well done Ginger. I got this race completely wrong!
March 13, 2018 at 21:37 #1346308Ginger you called that right, and Vautour, 9/1 is an absolute
steal!! Well done guys and a great ride by Lizzie Kelly
March 14, 2018 at 00:51 #1346343Well played GT & Vautour, couldn’t have Coo at all for this.
