    Week 9 Update

Well Nathan (White Custard) has managed to put a bit of light
between himself and the pack. This was courtesy of Salvador
Mundi winning the Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle at Punchestown.
(22.64 Points) A good turn of foot after the last left the 3
chasing horses well behind. He looks like he’s heading for the
Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at a best priced 7/2. He looks like one
that’s going to add to your tally Nathan. It looks like he could
take in the Ireland Novice hurdle on 2nd February, a good prep
for Cheltenham. At 8/1 I think he’s overpriced for that one.Very
well done Nathan, 25 Points clear of Jac (Dark Angels) but there
is still a long way to go. Total 320.45 :good:

The only other scorer in the League, BladesBarnBusters, made an
excellent decision in including Salvador Mundi in his stable and
jumps a couple of places from 14th to 12th with a total of 186.87.
    Nice one Blades :good:

Saturday gives us the chance to see if Jonbon can keep his good form.
He looked the part last time but he has to take on Emergumene who won
after being off for well over a year. There’s a Group 2 Mares Hurdle
on Saturday at Ascot, if you’re into that kind of thing.

The Peter Marsh Chase at Haydock looks interesting on Saturday, I’d love
to see Royale Pagaille win that one but he gives a stone to his nearest
rival and the best part of 2 stones to others. I think he will do it, but
it will be a tough race.

So not much movement in the League this week but a chance for some movement
tomorrow. Very best of luck to everybody.

    Week 10 (+ early part of 11)

No change at the top, Nathan (white Custard) Keeps his lead
with the brilliant, or depending on your opinion, “a freak”
Jonbon winning the Clarence House Chase at Ascot (26.62)
in majestic fashion. Barring something untoward, he surely
wins the Champion Chase. Total 347.07 points. Sitting pretty
    Nathan :good:

Probably the best twosome on the go at the moment, Jonbon
and Constitution Hill (22.20 points) who won the International
Hurdle as he liked, did John Gooch (Numpty Plays Jumping Fantasy,
no harm at all and John takes another step up to 2nd. They are
as near as you can get to certainties for there respective races
at the Festival. Total Points, 333.90. Creeping up on Nathan John,
with a tremendous Stable. I could say good luck, but I don’t think
you need it. Love that stable :good:

Tripod makes serious ground to get his foot on the podium in 3rd
place up from 5th. He is another who, like John Gooch, has the
couple most likely to. The are of course Jonbon and Constitution
Hill ( I wish I had kept the faith ) Tripod will be well pleased.
    Total Points 323.34 :good:

Jac (Dark Angels) has been knocked off the podium (sitting 2nd) but
even having the astounding Jonbon, 26.52 points wasn’t quite enough
to keep her place, now 5th. The good news is that Jac has 2 or 3 that
will be running at Leopardstone at their Festival later in the week
so every chance of fighting her way back, and she is a fighter :good:
    Total Points 322.66.

Goodfellow is in the same boat as Jac, he has Jonbon which will
no doubt amass a great deal more points, but he moves 1 place
down to 5th. Total Points 303.57

No change at No. 6 despite Mike (Mann Superstars) having a damn good
week with that Dynamic Duo Jonbon and Constitution Hill who boosted
Mike up within 5 points of Goodfellow and sits on a very decent total
of 303.57 Points. I knew at some point you would make your move up
the League Mike, I reckon you will have your usual surge up the league,
perhaps this is the start of it. Total Points 303.57. Well done :good:

Am I the only bleedin one who needs a brain scan after leaving outJonbon
and Constitution Hill  The simple answer it seems like it
And just to rub salt in the wound, ep (Edantony) had the very pair. Yes
Jonboy and Constitution Hill added 48.82 to keep him right on the shirt-tails
of Mike and Goodfellow in a close 7th place. This league is tightening up at
the top. Great week ep :good:

Well someone had to break the Diamond double and it was Galway Whispers with
an outstanding treble, obviously Jonbon and Contitution hill but one of Mullins
quieter ones before the start of the season, you could have got 12/1 for the
Brown Advisory Novice Chase, the best you can get is 7/2 but generally 100/30.
His Grade 3 race at Naas added 17.83 Points. A treble worth 76.83 Points and a
total 265.56, a move up from 10th to 8th and the top scorer in the top 10.
Absolute first class week Galway :yahoo:

A stroll in the park with Jonbon gives SamD (Sultans of Swing) a very nice
26.62 but with the high scoring it drops Sam down 1 place to 9th spot.
Still in that top 10 Sam and with some massive Festivals to come I can
see many changes to come before the lady of ample proportions sings.
    Keep in there Sam :good:

The last move in the top 10 is Ben (Bensawinnerthistime) who was another
who welcomed the big 2 home, Jonbon and Constitution Hill. That let Ben
sneak into the top 10, yes in 10th, and another man who’s Stable I like
the look of. Well done Ben, definitely heading the right way :good:

Some decent racing at Sandown on Saturday, but no doubt the Diamond of
the weekend is at Leopardstown on Saturday and Sunday. There are too
many horses to mention that are of interest to the League but I can see
there being quite a few shifts in the League this week coming. An absolute
delight to watch and if you are having a punt to go with your pint of
Guinness then I hope you have the luck of the Irish and win a good few
    euros or pounds. :yahoo:

I’ll finish by enclosing the league as per the TTTF (jumps)

    Week 12 + (late bit of 11)

I didn’t expect the amount of movement and thought I’d get away
with a quick summary, but the wheels have been moving due in the
main to Dublin, so here’s where we are.

Tripod has a great Dublin week and with a top notch treble in
Galopin Des Champs winning the Irish Gold Cup (52.60 Points)
shock result that it was, hanging on by a nose after kicking
Grangeclare and biting his ear as he was about to sail past
him, well that’s my story as I backed the Almighty Grangeclare.
25/1 for the Gold Cup? should be 4/6. Is there a steward here,
    hello Stewards?? What a scandal.

Back to reality, it was going to be the fight of the day, Ali V
Foreman or Lossiemouth V State Man in the Irish Champion Hurdle.
It was all going so well, Lossiemouth trying to do it from the
front and State Man nearly upsides when Lossiemouth falling 4 out
made me freeze. Horse and jockey thankfully back on their feet.
For a dreadful moment I thought they might both come down but
State Man was nimble enough to avoid the fallen Lossiemouth.
It was a bit of a bloodless battle after that.
    (53.55 Points)

The last of the treble was Ballyburn winning the Ladbrokes
Novices Chase. He had to fight off the very brave Croke Park
but in the end he was Just too good. Another 27.72 Points
and with fact to file and Gaelic Warrior, both 3rd in their
respective races adding another few points. An overall total
of 459.41 Points. What a great week tripod, you’ve been climbing
the league week on week recently and it’s no more than you deserve :yahoo:

What can I say about this man Man Superstars (that I haven’t said
in previous competitions) he’s like one of these Hammer horror films
where your running for all your life’s worth, and when you turn around
this stiff legged slow moving monster puts his hand on your shoulder.
You just know that no matter what you do he’s going make his way on to
that podium. He had the same Galopin Des Champs, State Man and Ballyburn
(All above) And a few scraps with Fact to File and Gaelic Warrior. It could
have been even more if the unlucky Lossiemouth hadn’t fallen, we will never
KNow  An overall tottle of 439.64. Your consistancy is a think to
be admined Mike :yahoo: (I’m sure he carries a stiletto  )

Nathan (White Custard) you still had great treble with Galopin Des Champs
and Ballyburn (As Above described) and the tough Salvator Mundi ( 22.64)
which was just as well as things got a bit naughty with all 4 trying to fight
for room. A further few points from Gaelic Warrier wasn’t enough to stop the
fall from top of the heap to third. Only 30 points seperating the first 3
so it’s nothing at this point with a long way to go. Total Points 439.59
It was still a great week mate :good:

Goodfellow was another who had State Man and Ballyburn and the hard luck
with Lossiemouth. A couple of points with Fact to file and Gaelic Warrior.
It moves Goodfellow up a place from 5th to 4th. Nicely done G :good:
    Total points 392.81

A big jump by SamD (Sultans of swing) who picked out the big 3 this
week with GDC, State Man and Ballyburn (as above) and a couple of
points from Fact To File but also Regents Stroll, who I don’t think
anyone else has or I have’nt seen one yet. Ran a decent race at Exeter
in 2nd but looked a decent sort. He’s big prices for the Supreme
and Turners. Tremendous week Sam, jumps 4 places to 5th. Total score
389.38 Points. Very much heading the right way :good:

Bensawinnerthistime was annother with a big leap up the league with
the same 3 as Sam and others in GDC State Man and Ballyburn. That
meant a jump from from 10th to 6th with a Total Score of 380.76.
Another who can identify a good horse. Well done Ben :good:

Michael Walsh was another with a 4 place rise, from 11th to 7th
with, you’ve guessed it, GDC, Stateman and Ballyburn. That trio
puts Michael on 380.75 Points. It gets a bit worrying when you
see these persistant winners creeping into the top ten. Very well
done Michael I wondered how long before we were seeing you and
there’s still a long way to go. Well done mate :good:

It there are going to be ups, there inevitably will be downs and I’m
sorry to see my wingman John Gooch (Numpty plays jumping fantasy) be
a casualty this week, it doesn’t help with Sir Gino held back from
his intended prep in the Game Spirit at Newbury which leaves John
with just the one winner, Ballyburn and a couple of places, Gaelic
Warrior and Fact To File amounting to around 30 points. In a week
like we have just had, that’s going to be a sore one, and it was.
John dropped fron 2nd place to 8th. Knowing John this is only a
a slight inconvenience with the big Festivals yet to come. It’s
always the long haul with those that know how to win. We’ll see
you heading back the other way shortly my friend :good:
    Total points 363.82

Edantony had a decent double with GDC and Ballyburn (as above)
and had to watch the harrowing sight of Lossiemouth coming
down at the 4th last when travelling nicely. The saving grace
being that both horse and jockey rose to their feet/hooves
hopefully non the worse. So could have been better (couldn’t
it always) but a drop of 2 from 7th to 9th for Edantony.
Still in the Top 10 Edan, and anyone who is, is a danger not to
be taken lightly. Well done :good: Total Points 360.77

Jac (Dark Angels) is another where if the coin had spun the other
way she wouldn’t have lost ground from 4th to 10th. Just the one
winner with Ballyburn and the misfortune of Lossiemouth coming to
grief at the 4th last.Knowing Jac as I do, her only concern would
be for the welfare of both horse and jockey. Thankfully they will
live to fight another day. It’s a hard drop for Jac from 4th to 10th,
but as we’ve come to know you write Jac off at your peril. Plenty of
time and meetings to come Jac. When you see what can happen in one week,
think what could happen in over two months? You’ll be climbing that ladder
    in no time :good:
    Total 351.48 Points.

That’s your top 10. Haydock on Saturday, where there might be one or two
of interest in the Grade 2 Rendalsham, but there is no show there yet. The
one that does have the odds up on the boards is the Grand National Trial.
Mr Vango, 5/1, seems to be all the rage at the moment. The topweight,
Royal Pagaille, has to carry 21lbs more than Mr V round Haydock. I wouldn’t
rule out the old boy but I think Venetia would be happy with a good run round
and no injury, she’s got the big one on her mind. When Gavin Cromwell sends one
over you can be sure he means business and Yeah Man is not far from Fav, 8/1,
he may well be by Saturday.

The Grade 2 Kingwell Hurdle, still no show, is the big one at Wincanton whilst
Ascot have the Grade 1 Betfair Ascot Chase and the Grade 2 Reynoldston Novice
Chase (still no show). So I suppose there might be one or two of interest
    to the league.

That’s your lot, I’ll leave you with the TTTF Jumps scores, and wish you a
    good and lucky weekend. :good:

Hello to everybody – I hope that you are all well and staying safe.

Just seen the news about Sir Gino who his now out for the rest of
    this season.

This is a real setback to many fans of the Jumping game, as for this
competition there is still time to repair the loss. Transfer Window to come.

    Many Thanks :good: :bye:

Thanks for that John. What a shame that we won’t see him out
again this season, hopefully he makes a good recovery,

    Week 13 Update

Okay this will be short and sweet, just like a friend of mine
told me to take it easy there will be very little before Cheltenham
and to take a break until then. I can’t divulge her name, that would
be unethical (rhymes with Tac) and I’m going to take her excellent advice.

So last update before Cheltenham, although I can stick up the TTTF jumps scores.
There was only 1 jump this week, otherwise everyone stayed in their same
positions. Afarland had the excellent looking Golden Ace winning the Kingwell
Hurdle at Wincanton on Saturday. She’s a fighter that’s for sure and the market
has nipped her in to 16/1 in places for the Champion Hurdle. No offence Afarland,
I think they would be off their heads to head there. I reckon she’s bound for the
Mares Hurdle where 10/1 with Betfair looks a pretty solid e/w (as short as 8/1).
On a quiet week, that 22.20 points comes in very handy and shunts Afarland up
2 places to inside the top 10 (10th). She’s one that no one else had Afar,
and could do you a turn at Cheltenham depending on who enters the Mares’ Hurdle.
First class pick and well done. Total Points 361.43 :good:

I should mention that Barrow Riders was the only other stable to get any points of
any consequence when Victtorino won the Swinley H’cap at Ascot. That’s 2 in a row a
and boosts Barrow up 20.10 points to a total of 119.40 but still got the league on
her sholders. A few more like that Barrow will get you off that boton spot.

The Grade 2 Pendal Chase at Kempton on Saturday Has Jingko Bkue, trying to makeup the
Slip up where N De Boniville departed his horse. Perhaps he can make up for that untimely
fall (him, not the horse) and improve on that in the Grade 2 Pendil. He has every Chance,

My idea of the winner of the Triumph Hurdle, Palladium goes in the Group 2 Adonis Hurdle
on Saturday along with the Fav Lulamba.

I’m noy sure if anyone has Miami Magic, it goes of a short fav in the 3rd Grade 2 race, the
    3.00 at Kempton.

I know Iroko features in the stables and he goes in the Trophy H’cap Chase (Premier H’cap)
and has a first class chance.

I don’t think there is a lot more of interest League wise so I’ll leave it at that and wish
you all the best for Cheltenham :good:

Just so you have time to give it some consideration, the transfer
window opens on monday 3rd of March and closes at 5pm on Monday
10th March. You can put 2 out and 2 in. I think I need 5 transfers
    using 2 each time :wacko:

    Week 14 & 15 scoring list.

As I said, I’m hanging off until Cheltenham but there have been a couple of moves.
Tripod holds onto his lead whilst Nathan (White Custard) has retrieved his runner
up spot from Man Superstars. Grey Dawning was far too good for Iroko after the last.
I love a grey who is a big bold front runner. Well done Nathan :good:

Bensawinnerthistime made up 2 places from 6th to 4th, again with the aid of Grey Dawning
but also since the last update Ben landed Jade De Grugy who won the Quvega Mares Hurdle
at Punchestown. She is only a half point off fav at 5/2 in the Close Brothers Mares Hurdle.

Jac (Dark Angels) bursts back into the top 10 with both the named above, Grey Dawning and
Jade De Grugy which sees Jac move from 11th to 8th place. They didn’t keep you out of the
top 10 for long Jac. Good luck with Cheltenham coming up in a week’s time :good:

A mini write up but that’s your lot before Cheltenham. Best of luck with both your ante post
and your daily bets throughout the Festival. Most of all take the time to enjoy the best Festival
of jumps racing in the world :good:

Thanks for all the fantastic write ups Graham and for the heads up on the chance to swap in two horses this week.
As the two horses I would choose to swap in namely Galophin Des Champs and Constitution Hill are held by everyone at the top I’m not going to make any swaps in my stable and keep the team together hoping it will come good. That means Brighterdaysahead has to be on her A Game to beat Constitition Hill and whatever the result it will be a great race to watch … just bring them all home safely and that’s the best result of all…
    Good luck everyone :rose: Jac

Agreed Jac, we’d settle for no casualties. So many good horses
I think this is going to be a tough Cheltenham. Enjoy the Festival
from behind the settee Jac and I hope you have the best of luck :good:

    FINAL REMINDER

The last time when the 2 swapped horses can be added to your Stable
ends today, Monday 10th March 2025 at 5pm. Don’t lose your chance to
get rid of a couple of donkeys and bring in those 2 guaranteed winners
    at Cheltenham. Good luck :good:

Graham. I just went to the Tote website as I decided to swap in one horse and it had to be Galopin Des Champs.I think he is the Class act of the Festival.

Have a great Cheltenham Graham and everybody. :rose: Jac

Many thanks to Graham and Sam D for confirming last time to get your swaps in is 5.00pm today.
Tote originally stated it was 11.00am which was misleading, they’ve now amended it too 5.00pm.

Deadline for transfers is 5pm today (I’ve amended a stable after 11am). Tote has managed to confuse everyone once again!

    Good luck with changes, all.
