Well done White Custard – nice picks all round ! Thanks too to Graham for the updates and commentary. I just love this competition, even though it can be so frustrating when a few of your selections turn out not to be the superstars you had hoped ! It’s a real skill in building a decent stable that performs consistently well over the whole season.

On a more somber note, and in light of the Tote’s ‘decision’ to discontinue the TTF, I just wonder if it might be worth members sending them a few requests to reconsider. I’ve already sent an email to that effect. Maybe, just maybe a few more might at least grab their attention ….. It costs nothing !

Fair Do’s inthestream, it costs nothing to send an email although I had to bang
it into their heads when things that should have been simple but weren’t. However
no harm in trying and it might land on the desk of someone who gives a damn. I’ll
    send one off.

    All the best
    Graham

Thanks Nathan and Mike, you are both old hands at this competition. Even with all it’s quirks
and it drove me up the wall half the time, but it could be a cracking one if they got a team
together who knew what they were doing. Inthestream has suggested sending in emails to them,
it’s not a bad idea, it might just strike a light somewhere in the dark, that was the TTTF.
Good luck to you both, although you’ve already had it Nathan, and richly deserved,

    All the best
    Graham

Good Morning to every one – I hope that you are all well and safe.

First of all I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to every one for
entering this mini competition, and a special one to BigG (Graham)
for all his hard work and effort in making it work.

Well done to the winners especially those who finished ahead of me
in our league. I can hardly believe that it is almost 50 years since
the days of the Pacemaker Ten To Follow Competitions and the start of
my interest in this kind of way of being involved in the racing game.
This was of course before the coming of the internet and we used to enter
by post. I do hope that someone else takes on the sponsorship for this
competition although I suspect that the Flat version is now gone for ever. :negative:

The internet can be a problem if not used properly but since being a member
of this forum I can only say that I have been welcomed with the making of
new friends and I have enjoyed making my posts.

So once again well done to those on the top of the leader board and thank you
to Graham for making it work and for his weekly reports. :yahoo:

    Many Thanks :good: :bye:

    :yahoo: Well done Nathan :yahoo:
It was a close run contest especially for 3rd position.

Big thank you to Graham for running this so brilliantly and you can now put your feet up and relax. :rose:

John …I can’t believe how they managed to run this competition by post when it is such a minefield to negotiate on the Internet site..but I will miss it and how it brings us all together through the winter. :rose:

Well done everyone for taking part 👏 👍 Jac

Haha, thanks John for reminding me of Pacemaker International days !! I seem to recall that when this ‘new TTF thing’ began, you had to pick 5 from their list (of about 100 horses) and you could stick in ANY other 5 donkeys of your choosing ….!! You put it in an envelope with a cheque, stuck it in the post and hoped for the best !! I believe you got an update every 4-6 weeks or so, not that I ever troubled the scorer !!

Hello, I hope you are all well. I’m still awaiting a reply to my PM
to Landafar and Sultans Of Swing. There’s £40 and £20 sitting lurking
about in my Account. Could you both get in touch so I can relieve myself
of said money. That’s got to be worth a few pints.

Cheers and all the best, you were a great league to play with I hope
you all enjoyed the Final TTTF/

That was a bit strange, I was sending the post to Landafar at the exact second
he replied with his PM. Spooky or what

Great to see you back, BigG, as mentioned in Meydan Thursdays thread: https://theracingforum.co.uk/forums/topic/meydan-thursdays/page/241/#post-1729690

Please forward Sultans Of Swing prize to Venture To Cognac to help boost the pool for his TRF Ten To Follow Jumps game this autumn.

    All the very best.
