Thanks Sam and apologies for misleading info as stated on Tote Ten To Follow website. I checked that information several times before posting.
Glad you got your swaps in. :good:
I’m going to delete the misinformation in my post now..thanks to Graham for running this for us and best of luck.. Jac :rose:

Thanks Jac. Only 6 1/2 hours to the tapes are up and you
hear that almighty roar. It’s like no other jumps meeting.
Best wishes Jac, and to all those who thankfully joined the
league. Cheltenham is a huge part of the competition
Be lucky and enjoy it regardless :good: :good: :good:

Big G, was just reading previous comments ref Golden Ace Champion Hurdle

    ” No offence Afarland,
I think they would be off their heads to head there. I reckon she’s bound for the
Mares Hurdle where 10/1 with Betfair looks a pretty solid e/w (as short as 8/1).”

None taken, as I was expecting a run in the Mares too.

Well there you go Landafar, strange things do happen at the Festival
and this was in the realms of pretty strange.

    Week 16 report Finished

Spent a couple of days in hopital this week so I’m a bit behind. However the
league hasn’t stopped and many moves have been made after Cheltenham.

Tripod has been knocked off the top spot by Afarland with an incredible
    10 place shift from 11th, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the like. A great 3 timer
at Cheltenhaam, Caldwell potter won one of the big handicaps, the Jack
Richards Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase (30.40 Points), Fact To File
winner of the Ryanair Chase. There was only one winner from the final
bend and he sauntered home, no need for the stick (53.80 Points) but the
piers de la resistance had to be Golden Ace the winner of the Champion Hurdle.
You might say lucky, you may have a point, but they are there to be jumped and
if you don’t jump them, you don’t win. He kept up the pace ane saw the others
off after the 2 talking horses had departed. (90.40 Points)

Afarland also picked up sone nice place points with Jonbon, third in the Champion
Chase behind Marine Nationale, (fortunately for me he was one of mine.) Still it was
a decent 13.20 Points. GdC was runner-up in the Gold Cup with a decent display (13.40
Points) In total In total a humongeos 201.20 points. Magnificent scoring Landafar and
I hope you gave the bookies a roasting Total Points :yahoo:

Man Superstars has made one more step up into 2nd place, with Mike’s record in this
competition alarm bells should be ringing. I think I said when Mike was further down
the table, to write this man off at your peril, and I was right. It goes without saying
he had a pretty great week at Cheltenham too, with a crxcking double Fact to File (as
above) and Lossiemouth who had the race won before they started (barring a fall) and
Ricci must then have been thinking, nay ruing that he hadn’t put Lossiemouth in the
Champion Hurdle, and yet you can’t blame the man, a win at Cheltenham is a win at
Cheltenham. Mike’s places were GDC and Jonbon ( as above). Well done Mike :good:
    Total 562.91 .

Nathan (white custard) has been nudged a place down from 2nd to 3rd but there’s so little at
the top that Nathan is only 15 points behind the leader. I reckon whoever comes out on top at
Aintree wins this. Keep at them Nathan. :good: Total Points

4th place. Tripod manages to retain his 4th place with Fact To File’s win (as above) and
the places of GDC and Jonbon (as above). It keeps you well placed Tripod as we (well some
of us) are heading into the home straight. Total points 539.81. :good:

Another to hold their place (5th) at this important stage in the league, is SamD (Sultans Of Swing).
Sam managed a nice double at the Festival, Fact To File and Caldwell Potter (as above) and a useful
place with GDC. Total points 539.63. Just to show how tight it is, Sam is in 5th, but a mere 26 points
    behind the leader. :good:

In 6th, and another to hold their ground, is Jac with her Dark Angels. A treble of very good winners
with Fact To File, Lossiemouth and Caldwell Potter along with the best place to have a runner up, the
Gold Cup and GDC (all mentioned above), and you needed every single one of them just to stand still
Jac. I think this is the closest league I can recall with probably Aintree sorting it all out. Total
points 524.03 and still bang in there Jac, all the best :good:

There seems to be a common thread running through the top 10 and Goodfellow keeps it going by holding
on to his 7th place. A common double (can you say common double at the Festival, me thinks not  )
with Fact To File and Lossiemouth, who surely could have been winner of the Champion Hurdle. Having said
that it turned into a sort of ill fated race although taking nothing away from Golden Ace, he got the job
done. And Lossiemouth will only be 7 next year. So Goodfellow keeps well in touch with a Total of 501.72
    points.

My much needed partner in this, John Gooch, (Numpty Plays Jumping Fantasy (Free List) ) John, like many
had Fact to File (as above) but breaks the run of previous repeated winners with The New Lion in the
Turners Novices’ Hurdle. It’s hard to say it was the most exciting finish at the Festival, but it was right
up there with the best. Got to give a mention to the 100/1 winner, Poniros, of the Triumph Hurdle on day 1,
another cracker of a tight finish. The New Lion went to the Festival without a prep race, which must have had
John worried, but he fought out the finish like a, ehhmmm, Lion  This kept John in 8th with the
assistance of 2 great placed horses, Jonbon and GDC (both as above) Total Points 488.56 points. Still enough
time and races to catch them John, and maybe get some of your money back. I wish you well :good:

The one winner, Lossiemouth, (as Above) and 2 special placed horses, Jonbon and GDP was enough to keep
Bensawinnerthistime in the 9th spot. A couple of big priced winners at Aintree Ben, and you are back in
the hunt. Total points 480.71, and it aint too far behind :good:

The final stable in the top 10, believe it or not, has kept his place since the last tally up. Galway
Whispers had a fine double in Fact To File and Lossiemouth (as above) and the most picked horses in the
league, Jonbon and GDC. Total points 458.80 and I Am Maximus wouldn’t do you any harm in the National.

Well finally I got it done. Good luck if you can pick the winner of the Lincoln on Saturday.
I can hear Jac cheering that the flat is back :yahoo:

Apologies to Mike (Man Superstars) who I mentioned was down one from
1st place when I should have said he was up one from 3rd place. I’ve
already apologised to Mike but it needed saying in here. As I said to
Mike, in my defence it was 3am and my eyes were shutting, which is why
I stopped at the 1st 3 places. My bad (is that not what they say now) ,
    bloody stupid if it is.

Thinking I was, related I may be to Yoda “If no mistake you
have made, losing you are. A different game you should play ” Just as
well for me this is the last TTTF

Thanks for putting the time into this Big G, and thanks for the update. Im more surprised than you to see me top.
Ill be keeping a close eye on the Aintree entries now, thankfully I subbed in a GN runner.
Its so close at the top and after Cheltenham, I know it only takes a couple of fallers for someone to get a big score and the table changes.

Good luck to all for these last weeks, Ive had my fair share for this season.

We all need a bit of luck Landafar, or as I like to call it, skill :good:

Your week at Cheltenham was absolutely staggering and there’s no way
you can put that down to luck. Over the 200 points !!! magnificent.

Am I the dullest tool in the box, that heading towards the final
month of the competition, that I’ve just noticed the Landafar/Afarland
which the TTTF (jumps) team seem to have caused some consternation with.
I’m going to make the Holmes like hypothesis that Landafar is indeed
Landafar, seeing as he writes his own posts and the Tote has yet again
made an orthographical error, nae F-up.

Week 17 Report (if you could call it that)

Okay as it stands going into the last week, is that there is no
change anywhere in the league so no point in trying to spin it out.

It’s all going to be down to Aintree, as I said before with the
closest top 10 and even some beyond that I recall.

Good luck and thanks for the many that have made this a great
contest over the last few years. It’s most appreciated :good:
