    Week 4 Update

As you might expect, there was limited movement in the league in the week
before the Derby/Oaks meeting. There were only 2 stables that managed to
    grab some points.

Top scorer and the biggest, well the only, mover in the league was Midnight
who had Euchen Glen who defied his 20/1 odds in the 4 runner Brigadier Gerard
Stakes at Sandown. In a quiet week those were very important points Midnight,
28.70 points gives you a good leg up from 17th to 12th. A great week for you :yahoo:

The only other points goes to FF91, and as I mentioned in my last post Raabihah
ran into Ebaiyra for the 2nd time and with the same runner up result. I think
there’s more to come from her and the 33/1 for the Arc isn’t the daftest E/W.
Only 1.10 points for that FF, but as I’m forever saying, they might be important
Still in 14th position but better to come FF, and for what it’s worth I think you’ve
got the winner of the Derby with High Definition in your stable.
    Best of Luck :good:

This weekend could make a sizeable move for some stables with a host of top class
horses running. The Derby looks one of the best for a while and although Bolshoi Ballet
is favourite at this time I must admit, even tyhough I have BB in my stable, that
High Definition strikes me as the perfect Derby horse. He might have to get stoked
along at some point, but the way he eats ground up in the latter stages of his races
I can see him coming with a late run and taking the race. They aren’t declaring who is
on what O’Brien horse, but the word is that Ryan Moore will be on BB and Dettori will
be on HD. If it is the case that Moore picks his rides, then i think he’s got it wrong
again. It’s not just FF91 that has HD in his stable, 8 others are in that club and could
be on to a big bonus. Best of luck to all in the Derby, a few, myself included, have BB
in their stable and Mac Swiney has a couple of followers too.

The Oaks similarly has a few in the league with chances. Santa Barbara is
well fancied and many followers in here. Roger Varian has a double handful with
Zeyaadah and Teona, both priced about the same at 7/1. My personal idea of the winner is
Zeyaadah who I thought was unlucky in the Cheshire Oaks to lose her unbeaten
tag when she was trapped in and Dubai Fountain got the 1st run for home. She ran on well
for 2nd but wasn’t flogged by Jim Crowley to get there. I think she will step up from that and
I’ve got a fairly decent double running with Zeyaadah and High Definition.

Al Aasy has his followers in here too and is a fairly warm favourite for the Coronation
Cup. He was hugely impressive last time out at Newbury, I don’t think I’ve seen a horse
win as easily for some time. He didn’t seem to get out of a canter and went away from them
like they were treading in treacle. Broome, Albaflora and Love are well
supported in the league but I fear that everyone has their work cut out if AA turns up in
the same form. Love goes into this without a run for some time and that might go against her.
At her peak she wouldn’t be far away. If I had to go for one outside of AA it would be In Swoop
who doesn’t know how to run a bad race. I think at 12/1 he’s a very decent solid E/W chance,
and if AA isn’t at his peak IS would have a a shout at taking this.

Plenty good racing, and no doubt a few more running for the league at Epsom and elsewhere.
The best of luck to all with their stable picks and any punts. I hope you all hammer the
    bookies :good:

Great. Love royal ascot and this will put the icing on the cake. Buzzing. Now comes the part trying to work out what the lads are thinking and watching the weather as so many trainers think their horses need their going.

Thanks John, I’ll give that one a look over later today John. I’ll open a league
but not sure how much of a response we would get for the meeting but no harm done.
I see it’s the same format as the flat/jumps competitions, 1 free stable and thereafter
    £5 a whip.

    Week 5 Update

In the main it wasn’t a Derby weekend that went to plan for most in the league, with
a couple of exceptions. Whilst most were treading through treacle, Forestrangers
gave a performance reminiscent of Frankel in his heyday with not only the Derby
winner Adayar but also the French version, the Grand Prix du Jockey Club
at Chantilly on Sunday with St Marks Basilica. That was around a 64/1 double, and a
good deal more if bet anytime before the race. I hope you had a few quid on Forestrangers,
the pair bagged you a sensational 104.00 Points. Straight to the top of the league from 9th
position, what a great move. Top mover, top scorer, top man :yahoo:

Nathan (White Custard) has been having some week having stuck Snowfall, winner of the
Oaks, up in the ante post thread at 50/1 !! Not only that but having it on a double with
Shishkin in the Arkle. Great punting Nathan, just a pity Snowfall wasn’t also in your stable.
Not to worry though as another long held favourite of yours, Pyledriver, winner of the Coronation Cup was a worth replacement and netted a very useful 37.40 Points. A great week
and a nice couple of places jump to 4th has you chasing them up on the podium :good:

Only 3 other stables collected any points, the biggest hitter of those was Man Superstars
who was smart enough to include St Marks Basilica in his 10 hopefuls. A very handy
30.80 Points gives MS a couple of places in the right direction from 10th to 8th. Nicely
    done MS :good:

The 2 remaining points achievers might not have managed points in the region of those above,
but as I’m always pointing out, these points can be gold dust at the other end of the competition.
Three Naps and Dark Angels had to settle for 2nd place and 1.40 Points in the Coronation
Cup with Al Aasy who had perhaps looked like the nap of the meeting after his cruise
to victory the month before at Newbury. I’m sure he will soon be adding big points stable
before long, in fact quite possibly in the Hardwicke at the big Ascot meeting just over a
week away. Well done Jac and TN :good:

As might be expected there’s a lack of top notchers out this weekend, they will be heading
to Ascot the following week. The only one I clocked from the stables was in my own, where I
have Latest Generation. I didn’t forsee at the start of the season that he would be
running in handicaps at this stage. I thought he looked potentially a 2000 Guineas and Derby
possible. I still think he’s got more to come than he’s shown and I’ll be having a punt on
him in the 2.50 at Sandown on Saturday. Hills are the only firm to mark up odds at this stage,
and he is the only mover from 10s to 8s. I’ll hang on a bit and see what the others have to offer.

Happy punting this week and here are the scores as per the TTTF website :good:

Thank you BigG, it was a crazy couple of days. I napped Oh This is Us in the select 3 compy which won at 18’s and also in Neil’s Handicap comp I had a non runner so my sub obliged for me at 25’s. Also scrapped through the daylight cup by 2 points.
Wish I had picked Snowfall in this but she sort of fell away at the backend of her 2 y/o season so was a massive bonus the way she has run this year
    Thanks for the updates

    Week 6 Update

Well I’ll make this short and sweet as I’m up to my neck in Royal Ascot
form today. As it happens, and as expected, there’s not much more than
a smidgen of change in the week before the Ascot extravaganza.

Midnight was the one and only stable with a winner this week, when a fine
ride by Ryan Moore on Seattle Rock last Thursday in a
Novice Stakes at Newbury added a very nice 14.20 Points. Just the one
place jump from 12 to 11 Midnight, but that’s twice in the last 3 weeks
that youve been the only mover in the league. One rung at a time will
definitely get you there in the end. keep it up :good:

There was one other scorer, and it was poor me who regardless of a mighty
1.30 for my beloved Latest Generation, who could only
finish 2nd after a run that reminded me of the Maze I frequented as a nipper
in Hazelhead Park (that’s Aberdeen by the way), it was woefully short of
removing the burden of propping up the league. He’s going to come good one
    day mark my words

This week is going to be a horse of a different colour, there will be major
ruptions in the league I’ll wager. Half the league at least will be rooting
for Palace Pier in the 1st race, and you’d be a brave man or woman that puts
up one against him. He is class and probably most people’s idea of the banker
of the week. I almost cringe writing that phrase “banker of The Week”, how many
times have we heard that….and then  Personally I’m quite happy with
my ante post on Sir Busker at 40/1. He won the consolation race for the Hunt Cup
at the meeting last year, and if he can get close enough with a furlong to go,
    nothing will be finishing better.

Battaash and Liberty Beach are strongly supported in the league
in the King’s Stand and will no doubt give a good account of themselves.

How often do you see Jim Bolger ahead of the O’Brien team, who have won this race
8 times, but he’s produced the outstanding Poetic Flare who if you could compare him
to our jumping friends, he would be in the mold of Hardy Eustace, tough as teak and
hard as nails. I think this is his 4th Group 1 in about 6 weeks, whether that will
tell on him or not he certainly won’t be beat for lack of effort.

Geez, it’s 20 to 3 and I’m still rambling on about the 1st day. So I’ll just say that
everyone and their Granny of any merit will be turning up over the next 5 days. Just one
more word, keep an eye for that young wizard George Boughey. He might only be 29 and by
the big boy standards have a small yard, but he’s a man in a hurry and I think he’s going
places. He’s got a few running, and at the prices they will be, barring maybe Oscula
and Cachet in the Albany Stakes on Friday who’s odds will in all likelihoodbe in
single figures, I think they could throw up some big priced places at the least.

I’ll stop there now and try to get to sleep, I’m still buzzing at the prospect of tomorrow,
The best of luck to you all this week guys, and here are the scores as per the TTTF website :good:

    Week 7 Update

I said last week that “there will be major ruptions in the league I’ll wager” and old
Nostradamus would have been proud of that one as they were major with a capitol M !

I’ve got to take my hat of to one of the biggest weekly scores I can recall in these
competitions for a very long time. Plum Draw Racing absolutely hit it out the park
with an increbible 224.28 Points. Palace Pier, 52.21 Points in the Queen Anne
Stakes, Subjectivist, 58.55 Points for the amazing front running display in the
Gold Cup, Love, 52.76 Points, who has to be just about the toughest filly I’ve
had the privilege to watch, Alcohol Free, 32.90 Points, who also
made me a few quid, in the Coronation Stakes and Alenquer, 23.11 Points in the
King Edward VII Stakes. If you backed them you’ll be a very happy man, if you backed
them in doubles, trebles, forsomes and an accumulator, you can open the bubbly,
phone the boss and tell them to stick it where the sun don’t shine. From 6th place
right to the head of the league, Outstanding :yahoo:

Green’s Freebies moves up a place to 2nd with 111.47 Points with Palace Pier and Love, and a couple of places with Broome in the Hardwicke and Battleground in the St James Palace. Tucked nicely in 2nd Green, very well done :good:

Another stable making it’s way on to the rostren is LongersPlummers racing who had the very well
fancied Palace Pier and the one that lowered Strad’s colours, Subjectivist.
That’s 115.51 points LP, and a jump of 2 places to 3rd. Great stuff :good:

Actually there were 12 stables with over 100 Points this week, I’m not going to go
through them all but have to mention a couple who on any other week would be head
of the heap. FF91 was another with Palace Pier and Love, but also
the impressive Campanelle, 57.75 Points, in the Commonwealth Cup. That’s the 2nd
highest score of the week, and a jump of 6 places to 8th position. Huge strides there FF,
    that’s terrific score :good:

From lower down the league, but with a jump of 3 places to 10th, with the 3rd highest points
score of 132.83 Points this week is Jac’s Dark Angels. That trio of Palace Pier, Love
and Alanquer did you proud Jac, I bet there was a tear in the eye when Love
crossed the line, and she did it the hard way. Very well done :good:

Well done to the many who had great scores this week, it was a memorable Royal Ascot. The top
race over the weekend is the Irish Derby and there’s plenty of interest in that in here with
High Definition, Hurricane Lane and MacSwinney all running (at this point)
not to mention my newest best pal Mojo Star after his heroic 2nd place in the Derby.
What might have been if Adam Kirby hadn’t taken that space up the inside

Brilliant write up Graham thank you. :good:
Well done to Plum Draw Racing for selecting an amazing stable which should have put him/her very close on the official Tote Leaderboard.

As Graham said earlier hope you backed them Plum and very well done you will be hard to catch with that score.

I believe a transfer window is coming up soon so will be eagerly looking out for that.

Best of luck to all for the rest of a very enjoyable competition

You will have the opportunity to make online substitutions during a transfer window, which will open for a period of 9-days between the Glorious Goodwood meeting and York’s Ebor meeting (11am 9th August to 11am 18th August 2021). A maximum of two (2) substitutions per Stable will be permitted. We reserve the right to modify the list of horses available for selection at any point during the competition.

    Hello to all

The above is copied from the tote rules page about the transfer window.

    Thank You :good:

You weren’t far wrong Jac, I had had a look in the paid leaderboard, but I
see on the Free list that Plum Draw Racing is 9th !!! on that
leaderboard. That’s a fantastic effort and every chance of competing for some
of that lovely lolly. Keep it going PDR :good:

Thanks for digging the reminder information from the site John, I think I could
do with 10 replacements. I’d picked out many from Royal Ascot, all at bigger
prices, as I was floundering in the ante post competition, I needed a big
finish. When I then set my stable here I thought I might as well stick with
my choices in case they came up, nobody else will have gone for them I thought,
I could walk away with it :good: Well there was a reason nobody else went for
them. Let’s just say I’ve learned my lesson

    Week 8 Update

Extremely quiet week after Royal Ascot, the big race at the weekend was
the Irish Derby, and High Definition would have been fairly popular, but
he trailed home a long way back. Nathan, with his White Custard Stable and
Numpty On The Flat were the only scorers there with Wordsworth in 3rd place.
3.30 Points wasn’t enough to move Nathan off 9th spot but it did move NOTF
up a place from 11th to 10th. Numpty was in fact the only mover in the
league this week, so well done Numpty for that and Nathan for also moving
    in the right direction :good:

The most popular horse of the week was Santa Barbara in the Pretty Polly
Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday. Unfortunately she went down in a tight
finish to Thundering Nights but nonetheless netted 1.50 Points to no less
    than 7 stables.

Well I might as well milk this for all it’s worth, because believe it or
not the highest scorer of the week, with 18.90 Points for Zeyaadah,
winner of a Group 3 Fillies Stakes at Newcastle on Friday and with a further
1.50 Points for being in the gang on Santa Barbara, was my Flattered To Deceive
stable. A whopping 20.40 Points, which shifted me, ehm, not a jot
Anyway, I’m giving myself one of these :yahoo: as it’s the 1st, and almost
certainly the last time I’ll manage that feat.

The big race at the weekend is the Coral Eclipe and it could bring about some
changes with half the stables in here on Mishriff and a good few on
St Marks Basilica. One stable, Man Superstars, has both so he will be hoping
for a one two there. Some decent racing, although not affecting the league, apart
from that at Sandown if your bag is 17 runners charging over 5f in the Coral Charge.
On first look it’s going to take me between now and Saturday to try and work that one
    out

Good luck this week, here’s the league as per the TTTF website.

    Week 9 Undate

Our leader Plumb Draw despite having a blank week remains in the No.1 position,
but they are piling up behind with the 4 stables filling the 2-5 spots all scoring.
The big race was the Coral Eclipse at the weekend, and St Marks Basilica proved
too strong for Addeybb and Mishriff. He looks top notch and it
would be some race if he and Snowfall were both to head for the Arc.

Green’s Freebies held on to 2nd spot courtesy of another O’Brien hotpot in Broome
who won the hard way from the front in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud on Sunday. He’s
turned out to be a valuable inclusion in your stable Green and the 32.00 Points helps
close the gap on the leader :good:

The only movers in the league this week, and with the highest scoring horse were Forestrangers
and Man Superstars with St Marks Basilica the impressive winner of the Coral Eclipse.
A hefty 53.10 Points pushed both up 2 places to 3rd and 4th places respectively. If SMB
heads to the Arc along with Snowfall, I wouldn’t like to say who would
come out on top in that one. It’s a nice problem for O’Brien to have, I think he’s got to
go with them both. Well done guys, top movers and scorers of the week :yahoo:

Only 1 other stable managed any points, and Jim Goldie’s Euchen Glen was a nice winner
at Sandown on Friday for Midnight who also had Seattle Rock who rand a decent race in
the Coral Distaff at Sandown on Saturday. The 2 netted Midnight 16.80 and 5.05 Points for
a fine total of 21.85 Points. Still retaining 7th place, but nicely done Midnight :good:

A big week ahead at Newmarket and plenty of stable interest in the big races. Thursday
has the Prince of Wales Tattersalls Stakes with Al Aasy trying to get back to winning ways
after having just lost out to Piledriver in the Coronation Cup. Two stables hoping he can
Threenaps and Dark Angels are pinning their hopes on him, White Custard are hoping Sir Ron
    Priestly
can spring a surprise. The Falmouth Stakes on Friday has more interest
with Mother Earth and Snow Lantern whilst the big one on Saturday,
the Darley July Cup Stakes has stables well represented by Thunder Moon, Lope Y Fernandez
    and Starman.

Have a great few days at Newmarket Jac, and a couple of winners wouldn’t go wrong :good:

    Week 10 Update

The 1st 6 in the league all hold their places by scoring similar points,
between 27.70 and 34.60. Snow Lantern brilliant winner of the Falmouth Stakes,
Sir Ron Priestly winner of the Princess Of Wales Tat Stakes and Santa Barbara,
a winner over in the states, all featured amongst the winners there.

The 1st stable to make any dent in the league was Mark’s Stable Stars, who will
be over the moon that he’s the only one to have Starman the very impressive winner
of the Darley July Stakes on Saturday. A whopping 57.70 Points for that one, the
afore mentioned Santa Barbara added 28.35 Points and Thunder Moon, 2nd
in the Prix Jean Pratt on Sunday a further 3 Points for a week’s top tally of 89.05
Points and a jump of 6 places to 7th. That was a great week for you Mark, top scorer
and top mover of the week, terrific stuff :yahoo:

White Custard up 1 to 8th with Sir Ron Priestly and one of Nathan’s favourites,
Snow Lantern. A nice tally of 59.00 Points
Numpty On The Flat had the same SRP but Bolshoi Ballet to add to that for a
total of 54.45 Points and 1 move up to 9th place.
Listen Battalions is the last of the trio to edge up, but by 2 places to 10th. Bolshoi ballet
and Santa Barbara were their big scorers with Mother Earth adding 1.70
for a total of 58.50 Points.
Well done guys, edging up that scoreboard :good:

There was no way that Jac, Dark Angels, was going to miss being at Newmarket for the July
meeting, and especially to see her darling Snow Lantern. What a thrill it must have been
watching her burst through to win. Jac has taken loads of great photos of Snow Lantern and
other favourites at the meeting, they can be seen in the Meydan Thursdays thread for anyone
who wants to take a look. What a great couple of days you had there Jac, and SL landed you
a nice 33 Points, and Al Aasy added a little more for 34.10 points :good:

The final 2 scorers were Dreaming Of A Triple Crown with 28.35 Points for Santa Barbara
moving up a place to 15th and myself, Flattered To Deceive, and although I’m still in last
place I nearly had a nose bleed hitting 79.20 Points with a few already mentioned, Bolshoi
Ballet and Santa Barbara over in the good old US of A, and 15.90 points for Safe Voyage
eventually getting his head in front at Chester on Saturday and One that I’ve been banging
on about, without much success, Latest Generation who found only the odds on fav too good
in the Bet365 Mile at Newmarket on Saturday. I’m certain that he would have collared him in
another couple of strides. 79.20 points doesn’t get me off the naughty step, but at least
I’m starting to see the behinds of those in front

Not too many races with stable horses present. Snowfell is a very short favourite for the
Irish Oaks, but unless I’ve missed it I don’t think anyone has her in their stable. Joan Of
Arc, Mother Earth, Nicest, Santa Barbara and Zeyaadah are all entered at this point, but it’s
difficult to say how many of them will run. .

Sunday has some more possibles at the Curragh with Lope y Fernandez, Speak In Colours,
Battleground and Thunder Moon all down for the Minstrel Stakes. Divinely and Santa Barbara
are also featured in the Group 2 Kilboy Estate Stakes

Well done with your winners this week Graham :yahoo: that must have sent the blood rushing to your head. Your horses are coming into form and lots more to come from them.. Can add that Latest Generation looked sensational in the paddock and I backed him to beat the odds on fav..he almost did it..unlucky to come up against a Godolphin hotpot.

My team are falling a little by the wayside with Al Aasy not fulfilling his potential, but Snow Lantern boosted moral on Friday and was so pleased that she won that particular race that meant so much to her connections..as Graham said pictures are on my Meydan Thursdays Thread. :good:

Well done to everyone with winners this week and looking forward to Alenquer taking on Hurricane Lane in France tomorrow. B-) I’m in two minds here as Alenquer is in my 10 to follow and Hurricane Lane in my Godolphin Fantasy Stable. .. maybe hope for a dead heat ;-) Jac :rose:

    Week 11 Update

Apologies for the lateness of this, not been feeling quite up to the mark of late,
but thankfully there’s not a great deal to report.

No change in the league at the top end and only a couple of upward moves.
Nathan (White Custard) moves up 1 from 8th to 7th with a couple over the
other side of the channel with Wordsworth 2nd in the Prix de Paris at
Longchamp and Brentford Hope runner up at Chantilly. He was matched by
Jac (Dark Angels) in a move of 1 up to 11th with Alenquer in the same race
at Longchamp and a nice winner with Mutasaabeq (also landed by Bourne Flat)
at Haydock. That’s 5.60 Points for Nathan and 13.80 Points for Jac. Well
done both of you, and to Bourne, but plaudits go to Jac for the highest
    scorer of the week. :yahoo:

The one that is of great interest for the league on Saturdayis the King
George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Nine runners at present and nealy
all involved in the league so no point in listing them all, but Love and Adayar
look like being the main players. Best of luck if you have one in that :good:
