Anyone mad enough to “follow” any of my TTF selections on the flat would be the very definition of the partially sighted being led by the blind – I rather warmed to the “Numpty on the Flat” team name- but it does make selection quite easy, I just go for the horses I have heard of. So Green’s Freebies are in.
Good luck all.May 1, 2021 at 10:59 #1539030Managed to just get mine in on time. Listens battalions sounded a good name. Good luck everybody.
May 1, 2021 at 11:01 #1539033My team name is White Custard btw BigG, just in case you like to know the face behind the team, well not quite face but you get my drift..

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
May 1, 2021 at 12:12 #1539064Great to have you with us Green and Mickey

Nathan I’ve seen you at your glowing best, with your pic with
the lovely Francesca Cumani……. 2 glamour pusses together
May 3, 2021 at 20:08 #1539658The competition only started 3 days ago but I normally give an update on a Monday. This will be brief as I’m having to use my phone as my laptop died.
Green’s freebets got off to a flyer with the 1000 Guineas winner Mother Earth. She was worth a terrific 60.40 points and adding a further 23.45 points with Sir Ron Priestly did you no harm at all. Great start with 83.85 points, 1st class
Listens Battalions was the only other stable to benefit from the amazing Frankie Detori and Mother Earth’s win.nicely done LB, I reckon you are not done with ME yet

Threesnaps was sitting 5th of the 5 that scored points with Sir Ron Priestly, but a nice win by Broome at the Curragh today and a further 22.40 points elevated them to 3rd spot. As the only stable with Broome you could be onto a good thing there

Nathan (White Custard) was another stable with SRP, and he added Pyledriver who followed SRP home in the Jockey Club Stakes at HQ on Saturday to add 1.45 points for a total of 24.90 points and 4th place. Nice start Nathan

The final scorer was Numpty on the flat, who didn’t live up to his name by selecting SRP. A nice 23.45 points gets you nicely off the mark. Keep that going

So that’s where we are after the 1st weekend, I don’t know how to copy and paste on my phone, so you’ll have to wait for me to add the league on the TTTF website next Monday as I’ll have my new laptop by then.
Best of luck this week everyone
May 10, 2021 at 18:56 #1540327Firstly, let me clear up the mistakes I made last week when my laptop had given
up the ghost and I was forced to use my mobile to update. Apart from the occasional
text I don’t use my phone much for typing, and how do they get their thumbs to move
so fast
Anyway, I said that Threenaps was the only stable to have Broome
when in fact Green’s Freebies also had him. I think they updated in the time from
me starting reviewing GF and working my way down. Definitely was my fault when I called
Sir Ron Priestly a winner for Threenaps, when in fact I should have had Master Of The Seas
as their points scorer. Lastly there were 2 winners at Longchamp on Sunday 2/5, both 2nd.
Neil’s Horses for Courses had Erasmo, 1.40 points, and FF91 had Raabihah
1.30 points. I’m not taking the blame for them, they definitely hadn’t been updated on the
TTTF site when I scrambled through my update. So top of the heap and keeping their place at No.1 is Green’s Freebies, once I added in
their omitted Broome it has them at a healthy tally of 106.25. TTTF haven’t started
a leaderboard yet, but I reckon that anything over 100 will be well up there after 1 week.
Well done Green’s, great start
Listens Battalions landed a really nice one with Albaflora, 36.59 points, who ran a
very promising race that had Rosa Ryan waxing lyrical. The Hardwicke could be next on the
list. The most impressive performance of the week was from Bolshoi Ballet who moved
right to the head of the Derby betting after he decimated the oposition in the Derby Trial
at Leopardstown on Sunday. He could be this year’s “monster” from the O’Brien yard. Top
points scorer this week LB and within 10 points of the league leader, Nicely done
Numpty On The Flat (love that name) was another who will be well pleased with themselves
for sticking Bolshoi Ballet, 17.90 points, into their stable. That elavates NOTF into
4th place as White Custard and Forestrangers (5th and 6th) failed to score. Definitely a
great find for your stable Numpty and some major points should be coming your way. Well
done
One final stable gets on the scoreboard with the highly promising Bolshoi Ballet.
Yes it’s moi, Flattered To Deceive
I’m so pleased I stuck him in, he’s the best
I’ve seen so far and looks a Derby type.York should have a shake up in the league with several horses well supported
in the league. Snow Lantern looked impressive at Newbury last time out and High Defination
will want to try and get himself back to head of the Derby maarket. Al Aasy has every chance
of taking the Rayyan Stakes and Noon Star has been well supported for the Musadora. Palace Pier almost looks a banker for the Lockinge Stakes and Sir Ron Priestly could have a quick return in the Yorkshire Cup. There are plenty with a good handful of these
in their stable and I’m sure that someone is going to come out smelling of roses
Very best of luck everyone, here are the league placings as per the TTTF website

0.00May 11, 2021 at 00:07 #1540341Unfortunately only just seen this so not involved this year. Which is a shame as I was buzzing when I won last years. But I’ll be back for next seasons competition without a doubt! Good luck to everyone involved.
May 11, 2021 at 01:14 #1540348That’s a damned shame MOM, I know you are well into these competitions, and much as
I’d like to I can’t in fairness to the 18 who joined up on time go back on the rules
as I made quite an issue of having to be registered before the tapes went up. It’s
such a pity, seeing as you were defending champion. At least it’s only 6 months till
the next one starts, I very much look forward to you being back with us then
May 11, 2021 at 07:37 #1540354Oh 100% I agree BigG about sticking to the rules. That’s definitely the right call.
I’ll be having a crack at next years for sure though. Will watch this comp with interest. TRF will fly the flag high in the overall competition too again I’m sure.
May 18, 2021 at 03:22 #1541404Week 2 (and a bit) Update
A pretty high scoring week, after a good week’s racing at York and Longchamp.
The most popular choice in the league by a long chalk was the superb Palace Pier
with no less than 14 out of the 18 stables having him.Green’s Freebies managed to hold on to top spot with PP taking the Lockinge, and could
have been even further in front if Mother Earth hadn’t been pipped for the English/French
1000 Guineas double by the 66/1 rag. It’s nice to be the early front runner in the
competition Green, keep it up
Threesnaps moves up a place from 3rd to 2nd, again with PP, but also the super impressive
Al Aasy at Newbury on Saturday. It’s a while since I’ve seen a horse win so decisively.
He didn’t need to come off the bridle to leave the rest in his wake. He’s a sure fired one
to rack up points Threesnaps, great choice for your stable
Listens battalions was another who was a tad unlucky with Mother Earth and although they were one
of the lower scorers this week ( I’m one to speak
) with 01.09 points, they are barely a
point behind Threesnaps. Unlucky LB, but still right up there
Too many to mention all having Palace Pier, but have to give a mention to Man Superstars who was
this week’s highest scorer with the previously mention Palace Pier and another
great scalp for O’Brien to take with St Mark’s Basilica on Sunday at Longchamp. A few
extra points didn’t hurt with High Definition 3rd in the Dante. He looked
caught out for pace but finished with a wet sail and still looks a pretty good bet for the
Derby. Top scorer of the week Man S, great stuff
Some decent racing at Goodwood at the weekend, although not sure it;s going to effect the
league placings much. However over in Ireland it’s the 2000 and 1000 Guineas weekend. The
problem is who goes there with many of the top guns having run last weekend. There’s bound
to be a few that could boost a few stables.Only one unfortunate stable with no points this week, who didn’t have the sense to put Palace
Pier in his stable, no prize for guessing who that was
It’s mega late so I’ll leave it there for now and good luck for everyone this week if getting
a runner or two

20.30May 18, 2021 at 08:39 #1541408Thanks for the update Graham and well done to Green for keeping top position, some nice early risers there green, my stable is full of slow starters.lol

It was a long wait but finally got off the starting grid with Palace Pier and Al Aasy trotting up.
Early days yet and look forward to your updates Graham.
Good luck everyone.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 18, 2021 at 11:36 #1541424Thanks for that Jac, it was a pretty good week for you. Palace Pier was already known as top notch but you must be well pleased you’ve got Al Aasy in your stable he looked awesome. All the best Jac
May 18, 2021 at 17:34 #1541469Thanks BigG. Already disappointed with some of mine but at least I have Palace Pier!
May 19, 2021 at 16:48 #1541546Yep Palace Pier will do your stable no harm at all Tonge. I’m kicking
myself for leaving him out, I’ve no idea what I was thinking
May 25, 2021 at 04:37 #1542125Week 3 Update
Irish 2000 Guineas day was all about that man Jim Bolger again with
Poetic Flare not quite able to do the English/Irish 2000 Guineas double.
I just wonder what the outcome would have been had he decided to give
the French version a miss a week earlier. Not that too many were bothering
about that in the league with 3 stables having his conqueror Mac Swiney
and none on the runner up.Last week’s leader Green’s Freebies had a stalemate of a week which allowed
Threenaps to take the top spot courtesy of the very same Mac Swiney‘
A healthy 61.40 Points on the Saturday and very unlucky not to add a further
winner on the Sunday in the Gold Cup at the Curragh with Broome literally
being done on the nod at the line. So close but nonetheless the 1.02 Points may
come in handy at the finish. Congrats Threenaps on the top spot, all you have to do
is hang onto it now
Whilst Threenaps took the top spot, the top scorer and the biggest jumper in the field
by a county mile is Longers Plummers Racing, who was another to side with Mac Swiney
and also had Liberty Beach who gave a great front running performance in the Temple
Stakes at Haydock on Saturday. That all tallied up to a very healthy 85.10 Points
and a jump of seismic proportions from 14th to 3rd place. That’s an extraordinary
leap LPM, very well done
Plum Draw Racing was the 3rd benefactor of Mac Swiney, and the 61.40 Points
was enough to see a jump of 5 places to 4th position. Another shrewdie to have MS
in their stable, I think you could pick up a good few more points with this one PDR,
well done
Liberty Beach also had Nathan (White Custard) and Neil (Neils Horses) going in
the right direction and Nathan added Brentford Hope who won at Nottingham on
Saturday for a total of 38.02 Points and a couple of moves up to 6th, whilst Neil had Erasmo
who looked a very cosy winner at Longchamp on Monday. A 3 place jump to 8th was
his reward for having that pair. Very nicely done guys
Forestrangers must have had their heart broken on Sunday in the Irish 1000 Guineas, when
Joan Of Arc looked sure to take the race until she was another who
was beaten on the nod by the O’Brien 2nd string. That was dashed bad luck Forestrangers
but you at least have the compensation of 13.60 Points. Hopefully the nod will go for
you next time
The only other stable to score was Dark Angels who I think was a tad unlucky with Highland Avenue.
He had to cope with the dead side of the track, and tried bravely to pick up when
they came over towards him, but was held by Mostahdaf. That was bad luck Jac, he gave
his all but the Godolphin horses aren’t quite firing at the moment. Hopefully they are
keeping it all for the big Epsom and Ascot meetings and 1.02 points might come in handy
later on.Not too many to mention running for the league this coming weekend, I see Safe Voyage
is down for the John Of Gaunt Stakes at Haydock at this time (I could dearly do with that one)
and I think I spotted Albaflora in a stable or 2, running in the Pinnacle
Stakes on the same card. That will do for this week, best of luck this weekend with any punting and here are the

May 31, 2021 at 19:01 #1542876He’s just bumped into one (Ebaiyra) that’s got the better of him the last twice
FF. Maybe he might come good for you in the Arc, that would certainly do
