It certainly is! Bad luck with SMB Jac. Hopefully he’ll be back soon. I already had Mishriff and Love so didn’t bother trying to add more horses running today

    Week 16 Update

Aarrgh  Just lost the whole update. I’m not doing it all again now,
but I’ll update how we’re doing in the morning. Here is the league score
    meantime from the TTTF website.

Okay, take 2  (the shortened version)

Plum Draw Racing keeps there head in front with a 2nd and 3rd in the Juddmonte
with Alenquer and Love, but the margin is down to no more than a
handicap points. Hanging in there PDR, but don’t look round

Man Superstars makes a significant jump from 4th to 2nd with a quartet of Mishriff, Stradivarius
and Snowfall, all York winners and Love for a an
outstanding 104.97 Points. That’s a superb tally MS and puts you right on the shoulder
of the leader. Top marks :yahoo:

3 Stables, Dreaming Of A Triple Crown, Bourne Flat and Michael Walsh all scored in the 70’s
all with the trio of Mishriff, Stradivarius and Love. Well done to all
3 of you and all on the move up the table :good:

Mishriff and Stradivarius were by far the most popular picks this week with 9 Stables on
    Mishriff and 8 on Stradivarius.

Celebration Mile at Goodwood is the big race this weekend, and a few of interest to the league
with Benbatl, Al Suhail, Mutasaabeq and Chindit all in with decent chances. I’m hoping my favourite Dakota Gold can take the Beverly bullet, I think Paddy Power are sticking their heads right out with 7/1 although I hope it doesn’t dry up too much.

That’s as much as I’m doing this week, I hope we might all grab a wee bit of success :good:

Know how you feel Graham..it happened to me again the other day on the York Ebor Thread…I pressed submit and it told me I hadn’t signed in  then my whole post disappeared, even searching History can’t restore it.
I remember that you couldn’t write a post unless you were signed so what’s going on?

I know just how long your post must have been Graham and I can understand you being hopping mad..😠😈

Why not leave the update for next Tuesday as doubt much will change before now and then.
Hope you got your car sorted. :good:

I had already done the legwork for it Jac, so I thought I might as well
do a revised summary keeping it brief and to the point, I do have a
habit of ranting on when I’ve got the bit between my teeth :mail:

My car headed off yesterday on the back of a lorry and headed to Glasgow.
Hopefully it shouldn’t take too long with them fitting a new roof. You
wouldn’t believe the bother I’ve had with the courtesy hire car, which my
policy has paid for. I’ve had 3 firms on the phone, who had problems arranging
to get a car over to me, for Christ’s sake, you’d think Dunoon was on the moon!!
It’s not an Island, it’s on a peninsula. They can take they long way round and
spend an extra hour if they like, or take the ferry over, like every other sensible
person, which only takes 20 minutes.

The 4th firm will deliver a car but not before Thursday. If the insurance think they
are getting away Scot free with providing a car 6 days late they’ve got another thought
coming. I’ll be asking for a sizable chunk off my £400 excess.

What a week it’s been

They make it look so easy on tbe TV adverts Graham..the guys virtually at your door within minutes of the accident with your courtesy car. Can’t believe how slow they are in getting the transport to you when they only have to ferry one over. How frustrating talk about drama into a crisis, hope you don’t have to wait too much longer now. Well they arrived as as stated on Thursday Jac, supposed to be econony range, it was
a Fiesta last time which was fine. So what do they come over with?……a Fiat 500 !!
in an almost luminous shade of bright green

I should have been angry, but I just burst out laughing. I’m standing beside the driver
who brought it over, who was about a foot smaller than me, he looked suitably sheepish
when I took the keys from him and thanked him, not the poor guy’s fault. I won’t be as
amiable with my insurance company when I sort out this whole debacle B-)

    Week 17 Update

Well this will be short and sweet, nobody scored any points this week
and the league is as it was last week. That’s it

To be honest this week coming would likely have turned out the same again
were it not for Marks Stable Stars who are fortunate enough to have the
very useful Starman in their Stable. He’s down to run
in the Sprint Cup Stakes at Haydock on Saturday. He might have been going
into this on a hatrick if the race at Deauville didn’t have that extra
1/2f. He only got nabbed in the last 100 yards and back at 6f I think he has
enough ammunition to see the rest of them off. Good luck Mark, I reckon you’ve
got every chance of climbing a couple of places in the League to be just out
    of the podium places :good:

I see that one of mine, Dakota Gold is entered at York on Sunday
but I think it will come too soon after his poor show in the Beverley Bullet. I
    doubt he’ll show up.

    Week 18 update

Very limited movement in the league this week, but an inspired transfer during
the window has FF91 grinning like the Cheshire Cat and with very good cause.
They are the only stable to latch on to Baaeed who looks the proverbial
“Monster”. He kept his 100% record intact and could be headed to the QEII Stakes
at Ascot on Champions day. I think the 9/4 with Betfred and Boylesports will be
eaten up, even with Palace Pier presently shading it for favourite. I wished I
had spotted that FF, brilliant pick and 27.70 very valuable Points gets you
away from near bottom to 15th. Top marks, and the only mover of the week.
    What’s not to like :yahoo:

The only other stable to score any points is Mark Stable Stars, who must be
cursing his luck with Starman going down by the hairs on his chinny chin chin
to Emaraaty Ana in the Betfair Sprint Cup. If the winning post had been a foot
further on you were on a winner Mark. A consolation 1.10 Points is all you get,
but as I keep saying it might make a difference at the end. There’s every chance
he’ll make up for it in the Champions Sprint Stakes on Champions Day at Ascot.
    Well done :good:

That’s all from last week which was a quiet one, but coming up this weekend we
have a feast of Stable Horses running. On Friday at Doncaster we’ve got the
re-match of two of the toughest horses out there. The Doncaster Cup has
Stradivarius and Truesham going toe to toe after the disappointment
of Strad pulling out with the ground being too heavy last time at Goodwood.

Saturday has a plethora of top Stable fancies. Leopardstown has the Irish Champion
Stakes with St Marks Basilica, Poetic Flare, Mishriff, Love, Santa Barbara and Snowfall.
Some won’t run and have other possibilities, but what a race that would be. However,
the daddy is the St Leger at Doncaster and I can’t wait to see Hurricane Lane. There
is the question of the extra 2f, but if he gets that I don’t think anyone will get near
him. Having said that I don’t think Mojo Star ran his race in the Irish Derby and his
run at Newbury last month was little more than an exercise jaunt, he won with his head
in his chest. I’ve no doubt that MS will get the distance with his style of running, so
if HL is toiling in the last furlong he could have company.

Good luck this week all, I get the feeling in my water that someone is going to run
up a cricket score this weekend, it could be you B-)

    Week 19 update

Well I said last week that someone would run up a cricket score this
week and I wasn’t far off the mark. It’s a change at the top as Man
Superstars takes the lead with 3 magnificent horses. Hurricane Lane
was simply in a class of his own running away with the St Leger and
St Marks Basilica showed real guts to take the Irish Champion Stakes.
Frankie got his sums right again and came through at the right time,
blowing the rest out of the water on Stradivarius in the Doncaster Cup.
A couple of places with Love and Snowfall and a tally of 128.35 Points
was sufficient to romp to the head of the league. Super stuff MS, top
points scored this week, brilliant stuff :yahoo:

Not far behind in the cricket score stakes is Threenaps, who is the biggest
mover of the week, taking huge steps forward, 7th to 2nd, with that class
pair St Marks Basilica and Hurricane Lane. A couple of extra points with Broome
in the Prix Foy and 106.20 Points has them sitting on the shoulder of the leader.
    First Class week Threenaps :good:

Plenty with scores in the 50s- 70s with Hurricane Lane shading St Marks Basilica
    6-5.

Other movers, Numpty On The Flat moves up 2 to 7th, Listens Battalions moves up 1
to 9th, Bourne Flat moves up 3 to 11th and Michael Walsh moves up 1 to 16th.

I’ve shortened it a bit this week as I’ve got a lot on my plate, but well done to
    all getting decent points :good:

    Week 20 Update

Almost a dead week with no movement in the league at all and only
Midnight managing to rescue a couple (well nearly) of points with
Euchen Glen runner up in the Doonside Cup at Ayr. So the 01.60
Points makes Midnight the highest (and only) scorer of the week.
    Well done Midnight :good:

It doesn’t look like there will be a downpour of points this weekend
either with most of the big guns safely put away for Champions Day
at Ascot next month. I think that is liable to be the crucial week
    in the league.

Still some competative racing this weekend, and good luck trying to
work out the winner of the Cesarewitch . Gosden’s Uncle Bryn is all
the rage, but as low as 4/1 seems a bit skinny in a 35 horse skirmish
where only 4 favourites have won in the past 23 years.

    Week 21 Update

A complete blank drawn in the league this week, not a lot more I can say.

There’s the possibility of some change in the coming week with the Sun Chariot
on Saturday. Snow Lantern, Alcohol Free and Mother Earth are all
of interest in a few stables. Not a lot more on offer and I think it will be
    like that until Champions day.
