He didn’t jump as well today but def didn’t effect the result , nothing wrong with politologue but he,s been beaten by the best plenty times

The Hislop v Henderson confrontation is well worth a watch. Henderson came across as really petulant. Clearly happy being praised but touchy when asked perfectly reasonable questions. Very unimpressive. Only wish Lydia had asked him why he thought it was a good idea to run Might Bite over the National fences but I suspect he would have blown his top.

Just caught the end of the interview. He was not happy. Hopefully will be able to catch it later.
I suspect Altior will win a four runner race at Kempton at 1-4 at Xmas.
Now, he’s supposed to go to Taunton on Thursday in a re-scheduled Peterborough Chase over an extended 2m4f…….
As i said earlier its the way its happened more than anything. Looking at how the race ran i am fairly sure Altior would have won but now we will never know.
However great race and win by Politologue, very surprised he never started odds on as he was head and shoulders above his rivals before and during the race.
Anyway its done now, well played winners and look forward to seeing the full interview (Hislop v Henderson) later. Possibly BT Box Office next time out haha

As ive said all day, I understand why he pulled him but its not like the weather miraculously changed during the week. He knew what the ground was going to be like, he raised no concerns all week and if he was anxious watching Friday’s racing, flag it then. Also walk the course on the day. Anyway bored of talking about it now just wish Lydia asked him why he declared him knowing what the weather was like.

As long as they don’t go to fast for him …in a GC ….which they will , I understand nicky doesn’t want to bottom Altior but u can’t have things go your way all the time , imagine if Nicky had trained dessie …he wouldn’t have win a GC

They need to go fast for him otherwise they will still have speed late on, if they go early they will burnt their own speed and stamina will come into play.

It isn’t Nathan but I can’t see him winning the GC , ask yourself this would Alboum photo or the other horses at the top of the market got beat today ….nope

I’m sure all the horses in the market would have won that race today apart from Native River and Froden But Santini ran like a pig in his reappearance last year and went on to finish 2nd beaten a neck in the Gold Cup ahead of horses that would have won Santini’s opener in much better fashion than he did. He is a different horse at Cheltenham as Henderson alluded to and a look at his races at Cheltenham would back that up.

Nathan that’s my point …he needs everything to go his way for him to be competitive , it’s doesn’t work like that and the good horses dig in and win even when things don’t go there way , he had everything he wanted last year …but the speed to stay in the mix when the front horses kicked away from him …watch the new one in the champion hurdles he ran in …exactly the same problem
