Marble, you must feel proud starting a thread for the Lansdowne at Bath –
Look Busy stepping up to G2
Pusey Street Lady doing my dough coming 2nd in the curtain-raiser
and Crimson Fern, having her very own thread in the "Main" Section.May 23, 2009 at 19:28 #229667

Just do us all the courtesy of keeping your word, TAPK, and give up.
Happy days (made all the better when your Reverence drivel was read out on RUK).
May 23, 2009 at 21:08 #229688I am very suprised with that – i thought the filly was far too short a price and didn’t even consider a bet on her, i have read the race entirely wrong.
If i could indulge myself in what may be construed as a bit of pocket talking – I am frankly disgusted with Wi Duds handicap run last saturday after seeing him race today. Yes i had a chunky bet on him last week as i thought he was chucked in , and yes he could be described as a "professional loser" (Davidjohnson on here i believe) – but the improvement he showed today was barely believable.

Sesame Street is only 5f long horse hasn’t won over the trip in 5 years and this is a Group race. When’s the last time he ran well in this class?
Fist, if you make comments like this you’ve got to expect some comeback. To be told the horse I’ve just backed has no chance by a man still crowing about the four winners he’s backed since the Arc last year just gets a little on my nerves. It’s no coincidence that the people on here with some idea have their differences but seldom have a cross word, because we don’t rubbish each other’s considered opinions- have a look at the Crimson Fern thread for an example of this.
Ante-Post muppet youre in the same category- if you continue to ridicule other people on here and shove your own opinions down our throats you will continue to populate these threads with idiotic point-scoring with Fist. The place was a lot more peaceful without him and at the moment I’d say the same about you. I have no problem discussing racing with anyone at any level but being patronised and insulted doesn’t really do it for me.Look back at the post ffs carv you called the guy a Muppet, so I said Sesame street was only 5f long.
Have you no sense of humour at all?
You can say what you like about me on here but talk shyte like short-odd loser then expect a defensive response.
Bad luck on the race. I may have an opinion that differs to your own/others but I take no joy out of anyone losing

Looks like we’ve lost both Carvillshill and the TAPK.
I reckon there might be someone chuckling about that.
Stick the boot in guys, i have to expect stick when i get it wrong! As my school report used to say "TAPK must try harder"!
Ok your an idiot you couldn’t pick your nose, your boring and if you want a second opinion your ugly as well
How’s that?

Amy Ryan only has a 10% strike rate at Thirsk.
However, she is 2 for 2 at Carlisle, and has two booked rides there tomorrow.
May 25, 2009 at 02:33 #229959In fairness my throwaway comment above was a lazy one- the filly has two wins at the minimum on soft. I’m still not sure it’ll suit her tomorrow though, as she patently fails to stay 6f and 5f tomorrow at cloying Haydock will likely take the same getting as 6f on good.
The reality is that it’s a bit of a lottery which of these will cope with the ground tomorrow. I’ve also taken on board Reet’s comments on Reverence, which have a ring of truth to them and am hedging out a bit to leave him a good winner costing me little.Does anybody actually read these threads or just pick out the bits that suit them?
May 25, 2009 at 03:09 #229965Well if someone just picks out the bits that suits them, then they’ve read the thread so as to discard the bits that don’t suit them.
edit: to be fair (to me), if someone writes I’m giving up gambling if such-and-such happens, and it does, it is too good an opportunity to let go without a bit of ripping.

You must have missed TAPK telling the world Mastercraftsman would win

If you’re so sure that Wi Dud has turned over a new leaf and is the second coming, you may well get the chance to find out at Epsom on Derby day. He’s entered in the Dash off the mark he failed to win from at Thirsk. personally I wouldn’t back him with either your money or conterfeit.

I would certainly back him but only if the penny would drop and someone would realize he needs ground on the very soft side of good or even better soft/heavy ground and campaign him around it and also run him fewer times. I realize he won on good to firm but that was as a 2yo full of beans. As horses get older and they aren’t as keen they can show a distinct disliking for firmish ground.
Maybe he has an interfering owner I don’t know but when Pru posted I had a look and immediatley got the impression his best runs seem to be when it was all but soft at Donny in the Cammidge Trophy and his two runs behind Look Here.
Dropped a bit in class rested ruring the dry spell and brought back to run on soft/heavy ground he would surely be something to bet on.
Epsom on fastish ground I would not risk a coin on him.

Small fry, in the last 2 weeks you would be down 4 figures! Dont make remarks you cant back up! TAPK makes plenty of big statements, but he
knows what he"s talking about! This is not a game of Cat (me) and Mouse(you) thankfully for you! I shall put up some bets for you to pay me hypothetically of course, i will keep the score! Now let me see whereSerious Impact
is entered to run!
