Now that’s a good idea for the next forum meet up.
    Ireland that is not Zimbabwe.

I love the Christmas meeting at Leopardstown but as a stand alone day, The Hennessy Day is the standout feature on the Irish jumps calender. The right thing to do would be to come over the Saturday morning, hit up Naas, which is only a half hour from Dublin, cut loose in Dublin Saturday night, then head to Leopardstown on the Sunday. :)

You can make a pit stop in Zimbabwe on the return journey then.

Well chaps its squeaky bum time for the Ante-Post punter as we come into the last 29 days before kick off..Today sees

    Al Ferof

out..Thats the horse I clicked on the 100’s for the Queen Mother only to be offered 9’s just as Paul Nicholls was stating he’d love to see him ridden aggresively in the race itself..That would have been a sickener and I’m sure there will be more to come.My Big guns pricwise

    Dodging Bullets

    ,

    Saphir du Rheu

    ,

    Holywell

    ,

    Shutthefrontdoor

all need luck on their side now.

With More of That out surely Annie Power will take in the World Hurdle leaving Glens to win the Mares :-)

    World hurdle

If for some reason last years Champion stayer doesn’t turn up for this years renewal then I reckon

    Annie Power

will target this rather than the Mares final.Bookmakers go 7/2 ‘More of That’ but 12/1 is freely available about the Mullins Mare and that is huge, personally I’d be going 4/1 the pair as I can see ‘Annie’ pushing Jonjo’s horse even harder this year.

I think 18’s on the machine is worth a tenner Gary! If she turns up she is the main danger to my

    Saphir du rheu

    .

Taquin 12/1 for the Ryanair, cracking price, the horse will run a massive race and probably win. Come on McCoy!!!

16/1 with Ladbrokes, doesn’t seem they share your enthusiasm Ben.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Taquin looking like talking in the Plate Gord, leaving Johns Present for the Ryanair!! You gonna take the remaining 12s before Jonjo goes public and he gets cut to 8s bloody annoying

Its all going pear shaped Gary..How the **** has ‘Taquin’ gone from a potential Gold cup horse to a 21/2m handicapper?? I’m all over him for the Ryanair and have stuck by my guns that he wasn’t a 3 miler, just when you think your plans are falling into place nicely your horse runs in the wrong bloody race! As for Shutthefrontdoor being a 16/1 shot for the Gold cup and Jonjo saying he’s just a galloper so we’ll enter him in the 3m handicap instead… One thing for sure if both the above horses run in the handicaps then they are both certain to recoup my Ante-Post losses!

Frustrating isn’t the word!! Taquin has some blue on odds checker today so maybe all not totally lost!! Gonna wait for others to follow suit with NRNB and then go in for bloody handicaps

Gord: I am guessing that as Jonjo has Holywell and JP has Carlingford Loch, that can be the only reason they are running Shutthefrontdoor in the Festival Chase!! Unless of course they pull him and save for the National!!

As Gary says it looks like Taquin de Seuill goes for the Plate so that would be my Ryanair money down the pan,I’ve only backed 2 horses for the race and Johns Spirit would be an able substitute at 12/1.Of course I’ve taken the 14’s tonight about ‘Taquin’ in the plate as he’ll be about 6/1 on the day methinks. That is the trouble these days betting Ante-Post,we just dont know what horse goes where. The only bonus about covering the likes of ‘Taquin’ for both races is the inflated odds available Ante-Post.In effect I’m taking 7/1 about him winning ‘any’ race at Cheltenham and that will do for me.

What a pain and more frustration to come from Mr Mullins no doubt!!

I’ve taken a couple of Nicholls hurdles as I believe for whatever reason he does better!! What do you think of Lac Fontana at 33s in Coral Cup? Has course form and loves good ground which almost certainly gonna get!

I’ve also taken Le Mercury for Pipe Conditional race at 12s.

Added to this Sam Winner at 33s Gold Cup and Caid de Berlais in the Plate ;-) some EW doubles and trebles too courtesy of a nice 7 team acca on footy last night

Great to go into the festival confident Gary..Thank goodness the likes of Vibrato Valtat 20/1,Holywell 50/1,Dodging Bullets 40/1 and The New One 7/2 all only had one target, that helps from an Ante-Post perspective.TAPK used his foresight and grabbed 33/1 about Saphir du Rheu taking the hurdling route but prices mean nothing until its collection time.Jonjo goes into this years festival like an intrepid explorer without his compass whilst Willie Mullins continues to play his annual musical chairs…Its gonna be a battle but we do love a battle eh?

Where did you get that information Gary? I haven’t heard a thing about Jonjo committing to Ryanair for ‘Taquin’.

One week to go and still we’re none the wiser about so many horses actual targets, particularly Willie Mullins stars.I would hate to have backed Vatour for anything Ante-Post as he could be going anywhere.

How the **** do I highlight just the horses name?? and why do I need to know I have edited my last post 4 times now??….I dont!

***** sake Its highlighting everything now and that bloody edit thing is jus makin me look a T*at!!
