I was impressed. To start four or five lengths behind everything else and then finish where she did was pretty good for a first run I’d say. She seemed to be enjoying it once she realised what was going on, and had quite a turn of foot in the middle of the race. I’d have thought everyone would be very satisfied with that.

Im my opinion she ran as well as could be expected on a tough introduction but you’ve got to be happy with that showing.

Well pleased with that, plenty of encouragement considering the slow start.

I thought she shaped reasonably well but presumably she is a bit of a madam at home? Cheekpieces or her debut and slowly away leaving the stalls. Looked to have plenty of speed for me, travelled well to get into the race having been left at the start but didn’t have much at the end of the race. I thought she’d probably prove best up to 6f for the time being. Get her handicapped and I’m sure she can pick up a race.

Bless her, good little Taj! She ran really well I thought and with a lot of promise. She showed a good bit of speed & looked to be very professional going about her job with the only bit of greeness showing in jumping out and cornering the final bend. She’s sure to win for you guys after a promising debut so good luck with the future & well done all as well as well done Kirsty.

Yeah well done Kirsty! She did look a bit green, gazing round as she turned the bend, but she did so well coming back on the wide outside after that poor start. She’s got to improve, but I’d have thought the distance was fine for her for now. If she got her start sorted out, she wouldn’t have wasted so much energy making up ground in the middle of the race, and she’d have had more at the finish.

The cheekpieces are there at the moment just to help her concentrate,in time she hopefully won’t need them. It’s certainly nothing to do with her attitude as she is tough as old boots.

Went to see her yesterday and here’s a couple of piccies.

Having finally managed to get to see a re run of the race after being out of the UK when she ran i’d say that was full of promise.

For all the all weather that was a decent enough maiden & for the most part she was up against far more experienced colts.

The winner is useful and the two in behind him look to have a race or two in them.

She showed plenty of speed in the middle part of the race and it wasnt surprising that she ran out of steam a little in the closing stages bearing in mind the ground she had to make up early doors and the fact it was her debut.

Carson gave her a tender ride late on and given the improvement which you’d expect her to find with any luck there should be a race or two out there with her name on, particularly if she can box out on terms.
Anyone had any thoughts about when/where she’ll run next?
Difficult to say as there aren’t many suitable races in the coming weeks.
Leopoldine (finished second in Taj’s maiden) run fourth in a listed sprint saturday after walking a 5f maiden previously. Taj was running against some decent animals first time up so with normal improvement she should be up to winning a maiden..

All being well she’ll be running at the end of this week at either Wolves or Warwick.
