Probably the first time she’s broke quickly, & she was on terms at the last bend (dog term I know!) when she was bumped by the horse inside her which pushed her into the one on the outside & she was bounced about between them. Once her chance had gone Adrian let her come home in her own time.
Just had an email saying she’s OK & may run again before Christmas.I've stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I've walked and I crawled on six crooked highwaysNovember 29, 2007 at 05:38 #127732That’s good news anyway! Thanks for the update.
November 29, 2007 at 19:37 #127809Here she is in her box this morning, looking fine after Tuesdays events.
November 30, 2007 at 12:45 #127921Brilliant news. She’s so beautiful isn’t she?! You just wanna cuddle her to death – ok maybe not to death… but you get the idea.
November 30, 2007 at 20:18 #127998I’m not normally a fan of horse’s ‘looks’ but she is pretty isn’t she?
November 30, 2007 at 23:49 #128056She’s a cutie alright. Bless.
January 15, 2008 at 19:49 #135481Any recent news of Taj?
January 18, 2008 at 21:28 #136280Unfortunately we’ve had to call it a day with Tajj because of cirumstances beyond our (and Tajj’s!!) control.
It’s a shame because whilst she was never the easiest to train, Kirsty did a great job with her. She’s got a bit of ability and has given us a lot of fun and happy memories over the last couple of seasons.
Time moves on though and we’ve in the process of sorting out a new deal on an unraced filly with John Balding so we’ll still have a horse running in our colours this season.
January 20, 2008 at 19:46 #136619It is really sad, I’ve enjoyed following her, and will enjoy following the new filly I’m sure.
Let’s hope for some good luck, and good luck too to Taj wherever she goes!January 21, 2008 at 20:25 #136857Interesting to note that someone is posting elsewhere that it has been posted on TRF that Taj has been retired – how on earth did they come up with that? That hasn’t been said at all and it certainly isn’t the case either – she was looking very well when I saw her last week, where she is still in training.
January 21, 2008 at 20:43 #136866Hi SL, I must admit that was the inference I drew from apk’s email as well, that the circumstances beyond the partnership and horses control was that she’d picked up an injury or something. Good to hear she is still in training, hopefully she’ll give some enjoyment to her new owners, is she still with Hugh Collingridge?
January 21, 2008 at 20:47 #136868I haven’t seen apk’s email but going on his post on this thread, I’m not entirely sure how anyone would assume she had been retired?
Taj is not injured, as far as I know Network have decided to pull out of owning her. She hasn’t been retired either and I am led to believe that will not be the case either. Yes, Taj is still at Hugh’s and carrying life on as usual.
January 21, 2008 at 20:49 #136869Sorry didn’t mean email, meant post, it’s 5 up from this one.
January 21, 2008 at 20:53 #136871I know ST, I saw it!!!!
Which was why I commented that I’m not sure why the inference was made that she’s been retired – just that the lease agreement has run its course.
January 21, 2008 at 22:07 #136887It was me who posted on another forum that she had been retired, for gods sake a made a mistake!
When someone says that "they have called it a day with Taj" I wrongly assumed she had been retired & after talking to a few people I was not the only one who thought this
January 22, 2008 at 18:20 #137039Yes, Tajj has asked me to confirm that rumours of her impending retirement are premature!!
Sorry if the email was a bit ambiguous.
Tajj has now removed me from my role as her press officer and was last heard to be muttering something about "not being able to get the staff these days".
Hopefully, she’ll be out and about again for new owners in the future, just not for us sadly.
As i said, there was no issue at all with Tajj on the part of the syndicate it was simply that we werent able to continue for a multitude of reasons beyond everyones control and have moved onto pastures new.
Keep an eye out for her though over the next season. She’s definitely well handicapped at the moment and will pop up again in a little race or two.
January 23, 2008 at 15:06 #137262Nice to hear, will keep an eye out for her, good luck with your new one
