great stuff well done
January 14, 2007 at 11:11 #68707A tremendous result and just rewards for everyone who has stuck with the syndicate through what has been a very difficult few months, especially the likes of Grey Desire, RayH & Cruncher who have been involved virtually from day one (I’m sure there are others, apologies if I have missed you out), and of course Debs & Luke. There wasn’t a dry eye in the Happy Jack household yesterday evening.
I’m sure that wherever Craig is at the moment he will be thrilled to bits, and no doubt clutching a winning betting slip!
I’m also delighted that my 1000th post on this forum is to congratulate the syndicate that both Sal & I owe so much to.
:buddy:
January 14, 2007 at 12:17 #68708Well done to a dedicated trainer and all those that are in the syndicate…………
January 14, 2007 at 12:32 #68709Great result well done all concerned, some nice stories on the win, especially from GD and HJ.
I never got to see the race as I was stuck in traffic coming back from the football, I’d probably have had a sentimental bet too even though I didn’t tip her on my website (thought 5f would be too short) :(
Hopefully she can go on from this now as GD pointed out this was a very weak race, but a win is a win and it would be great if she can win next time..
looking forward to seeing some pics of the victory.
January 14, 2007 at 18:08 #68710Lads, missed the race but more than chuffed for everyone. She deserved a win.

January 14, 2007 at 19:24 #68711As this is my first post on here, I’d just like to say thank you to all of you on this forum involved in the syndicate for your support and I am over the moon that Taj made yesterday such a special day for everyone.
I was very grateful to Craig for chosing to go with an outfit as small as mine and for believing I wasn’t talking a whole load of cobblers about Taj! Sometimes it can be very hard trying to convince someone that a filly that only cost 800gns was worth taking a punt with, but Craig was very keen from the word go and Andrew has done a fantastic job in keeping the syndicate going.
SO thanks again to everyone – its days like yesterday that make racing such a fabulous way to earn a living.
And Taj is pretty happy herself today – I put her on the horsewalker to stretch her legs today and she is squealing and bucking!
January 14, 2007 at 19:59 #68712Welcome to TRF jinnyj , I’m the oldest bugger in the syndicate if you are wondering who I am. I’ve always thought that Taj was going to win a race for us because she’s got attitude. She might not be the biggest or best in the world, but she seems to think that she is. Did you notice the way she was eyeballing the second and third in the winners enclosure yesterday?
Thanks to you and Brian for a smashing day out & must not forget Adrian, he was the man at the sharp end.
If she runs on Thursday I’ll throw a sickie.
I've stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I've walked and I crawled on six crooked highwaysJanuary 16, 2007 at 11:10 #68713Is declared to run Thursday in her first hcap off top weight with a penalty for Saturdays win.

I object to that claim, PP. I’ve retired so you can’t possibly pinch my seniority rights.:argue:
It certainly was a great day on Saturday and may be on Thursday as well? (Don’t forget the lucky hat, Andrew!)
Can I echo the earlier sentiments about the fantastic job Kirsty & Brian have done with Taj? The horse has been so unlucky in most of her previous runs and it was becoming almost boring to keep recalling them but K & B kept the faith and got their richly-deserved reward.
I also second Kirsty’s comment re Andrew. He has almost seamlessly kept the syndicate together and Craig was such a hard act to follow. I’ve just had his latest long and amusing e-mail report. Hasn’t he got any work to do?? Last Saturday would not have existed for the syndicate but for Andrew – thanks.
January 16, 2007 at 19:10 #68715thanks Ray. As i said in the email to you all, everyone in the syndicate along with Kirsty & Brian so richly deserve that little bit of success.
It would be difficult to think of more deserving owners or trainer and i am thrilled for you all.
Lucky hat (boasting a 100% record so far!!) is on standby for Thursday
January 17, 2007 at 11:31 #68716Just producing the Spotlight for Tajjree’s race at Wolver tomorrow – what price would you like her to be? ;)

January 17, 2007 at 12:23 #68717Well. With so many previous winners in the race and carrying 2 stone nearly of deadweight, I would have thought 8s or 10s would be the order of the day?:o
January 17, 2007 at 16:08 #68718Ray – you’ll have to settle for 5-1!
January 17, 2007 at 20:01 #68720She’ll be 5 lb ‘wrong’ as she’s only gone up a pound according to Raceform Update. Will she still be running or will she be saved for another day?

January 17, 2007 at 21:38 #68722A real result.
Well done to everyone involved. Sounds like a lot of dedication and hard work has gone into Tajjree.
January 17, 2007 at 22:02 #68724Looking at the race calendar there isn’t a huge amount of suitable races for her over the coming weeks so I’m guessing it’s a case of running her whilst she is well, and let’s face it tomorrows race isn’t much better than the race she won on Saturday.
My only worry is whether she can give away the weight.
January 18, 2007 at 07:03 #68725Good luck for today everyone! :)
