Confirming him coming here shouldnt make him 3/1 for this, miles away from whats needed, chantry house a much better candidate, asterion should be clear favourite, sectionals, visually, form all tie in with whats needed for this, if one was to go ballymore it should be shishkin after what asterion has done to this point
Chantry house looked good, but im skeptical on the race

His jumping to the right puts me off and he still looked very green, wouldve liked him to have another run

Not a race I will be playing ante post as the bookies will be doing all sorts of offers on the day and other than shiskin/abacadabras we are guessing as to what turns up
I liked CHs performance and think he’ll appreciate the hill but the Ballymore would possibly be the more suitable
Sporting John couldn’t race today and I expect they’ll want to keep them apart

They arent giving good prices though so probably best to wait till the day
That offer has fairly dropped FF which is disappointing. I read they lost like 10m from the offer last year, but still a company that size shouldn’t be concerned.

He has the best form in theory, but the one im most against here is Abacadabras. Don’t think Cheltenham will suit him and i also don’t think that novice form is as strong as some do.

He was cruising turning for home in the bumper and found nothing at all for pressure
Agreed FF. I can understand why people would back him on a price basis compared to the other front ones in the market. Just not for me. I think he’ll be overtaken by some of the other novices.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!not a hard race to assess for me personally i think asterion will bolt up should he make it, cant for the life of me see why shishkin is a short fav, abacadabras will be this years mengli khan, sporting john going elsewhere (mistake) chantry house through the stolen silver formline doesnt have a prayer but may improve, doubt it would be good enough to beat asterion
The nrnb bet price at 5/1 for him looks fair to me, no chance if he runs to form hes out the first 3, think he will bolt up, wasnt the strongest grade 1 LTO but easywork was almost fav for this prior to that and mt leinster is half decent and he could have lapped both of them, shishkin looks a stayer to be which may suit him here and im not totally writing him off, but he shouldnt be that price

The race on sunday showed the mt Leinster, easywork, andy dusfresne and captain guiness form lines are all weak
Obviously asterion forlonge was miles better than them though but I will always have that doubt about him jumping to the right and how green he was
At this stage I couldn’t possibly pick one and probably wouldnt even have a bet if skybet werent refunding all losers

FF, what are the negatives you see with Chantry House? I agree with you on the others but for me CH looks great value at 7s. He has won all 3 starts beaten the likes of Stolen silver and Pipesmoker over hurdles and comfortably beat Edwardstone last year in a bumper. To me that form is rock solid. He’ll obviously need to improve again but sure so do the rest of them!
