I backed Andy dusfresne for this ages ago and really am not convinced at this stage
I really am not sure how strong that race was and captain Guinness form was not franked by blackbow later on the card
Jury still out on him for me
Not completely given up on my bet as he pulled hard at the start and still battled on nicely at the end, they seemed to go an absolute crawl which would not have suited him
I’d like to see him run again before the festival
January 16, 2020 at 21:15 #1479962Just watched the shiskin race
The immediacy with which he quickened after nico hit him with the whip was very eye eyecatching. He quickened after one hit then went into overdrive after getting hit again
Could be anything
Shame hes into single figures now
January 20, 2020 at 23:32 #1480350I’m eyeing up Janadil here. I love the old notion of novices getting battle-hardened in tough handicaps and this fella, without visually pulling up trees, has been working his way through them nicely. Looks a Betfair then Supreme type to me.
January 21, 2020 at 01:56 #1480358He’s my idea of a Supreme horse as well Boz. Mentioned on The Ladbroke Hurdle thread that he’d have a higher profile this time next year, and I honestly think he’s a potential Champion Hurdle horse, and I was half hoping he’d get an entry.
I do think he’ll head here, and it’s just the question of whether it’s via Leapordstown or Newbury.
Not had a bet though, and I’ll hold off for now, not that there’s too many grabbing my attention.
The only one other one which I keep going back to is McFabulous, but Nicholls would really have to work his magic, considering his last two runs, and his price of 470’s, probably sums it up.
January 21, 2020 at 09:24 #1480368My current bets in this race are a little sporadic i must say:
Fly Smart 25s and 16s nrnb- could do with him showing up at some stage.
Andy Dufresne 16/1- unfortunately backed him before his loss.
Figaroc 25/1 NRNB- Chambers says unlikely to see him this season. At least its NRNB.
Captain Guinness 16/1- Happy enough here i do like him. Took the 16/1 NRNB straight after the race, rather than take 20/1 antepost. Wasn’t sure Henry would be certain to run him here.
Have 25/1 on Chantry any race too as couldn’t be bothered working out where he’d go.
The one i’ve been itching to add is one Botchy is on. Mt Leinster. Sort of feel i’ve enough done haha.
Only saving grace is Figaroc is likely to be money back and Fly Smart might well be too (partly)
The more i look at it, i am tempted to wait until the day now and do the Sky offers, as i’ve 3 or 4 accts ready to chance my arm again!

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 21, 2020 at 10:11 #1480373I’ve backed a few Mullins horses at small stakes & big prices just for the craic
Mt Leinster 46/1
Janidil 50/1
Asterion Forlonge 39/1
Elixir Dainay 36/1
Unexcepted 27/1
Blue Sari 50/1February 2, 2020 at 10:23 #1481695Hoping that Blue Sari can recapture his best form today.
February 2, 2020 at 11:27 #1481706Yes iv just backed him for today and am going to back him for this too
I figure the 20/1 with NRNB is a good bet
If he wins today he will be much much shorter and il have a live runner, if he loses I doubt he runs in the supreme and I get my money back
February 2, 2020 at 14:01 #1481733Asterion – monster
February 2, 2020 at 14:13 #1481735Cashed out.
February 2, 2020 at 21:58 #1481803Backed him today but haven’t backed him for Cheltenham. Firstly, I forgot but having watched that and listened to Willie, I’m not convinced he’ll come here
( confirmation bias working overtime…)
February 3, 2020 at 01:03 #1481818Looked a monster but I think that race might not turn out to be a good one. Same time as an average juvenile outcome just before it. The search outside of the top 3 continues…
February 3, 2020 at 10:07 #1481832It was slgihtly quicker and i think the fact he and Easywork lead from early doors makes it even more pleasing how he still went on at the finish when the rest fell into a hole. The juvenile the ones doing the pressing early, either fell or dropped out in the finish for the winner to get up.
I can understand why some are saying the race fell apart, but i’d say that’s credit to the winner for putting them to the sword the whole way.
Pity we are no wiser to where he runs.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 3, 2020 at 11:41 #1481845Reminds me a bit of getabird
Jumps well to his right, still a bit green at times but clearly has a lot of ability
February 3, 2020 at 15:15 #1481867Shishkin running in the Sidney Banks (2m 3F) on Thursday. Chantry House running in the 2m novice at Newbury on Saturday and Sporting John running in his intended 2m listed race at Exeter Sunday.
February 3, 2020 at 15:37 #1481869Very interested to see chantry house again
February 3, 2020 at 17:00 #1481873I’m also looking forward to seeing Chantry House out again on Saturday Kev and FF. I’m
hoping he does well and heads for this and not the Ballymore. I nabbed the 20s back in
Decemeber (on page 4) and he’s best priced 11s now. If he runs as well as I’m hoping he
does on Saturday I can see his price halfing. - AuthorPosts
