Sorry charlie
Quick grabim out of the supreme, stress fracture
Glad i held back last week!
January 14, 2019 at 15:13 #1392483Even taking into account the weight differential, I thought it was a poor race.
He’s won a January maiden and now near the head of the market…I think some are just searching for the next Vautour and Douvan and anything like that from Mullins or Elliott just gets spanked in the betting.
January 14, 2019 at 15:21 #1392486Not disputing the prices- Klassical Dream should be ahead of him in the market.
But if you use the times, it doesn’t work out as bad as you say + considering Ruby said theirs was as good as anything they’ve sent out yet, i wouldn’t say its an awful race.
Of course, we will find out much more up in class…

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 15, 2019 at 10:05 #1392555Hopefully The DRF can shine a bit of light on it all.

I was going to put a thread up for the Chanelle Pharma actually but i haven’t yet.
Very interesting market IMO. Aramon, a possible runner is 9/4, but not a certain runner.
Then there’s Klassical Dream who has been supported into 6s. I would suggest he’s a great price at that. Possible Aramon, doesn’t go, also possible, he does, but considering the fact he’s always been highlighted as a “surprise” by connections i’d suggest he’s worth taking on.
Sancta Simona sits at pretty much the same price, surely she doesnt go.
Vision D’Honneur same price as Klassical dream, and was beaten by him. Now, VDH is more unexposed but KD didn’t have a perfect run of the race either.
Then there’s COF+ BOD who probably don’t run. Then it’s guesswork with the rest, but Tornado Flyer would need to bounce back, and others probably aren’t up to it.
I would say KD is worth a punt, i’ve taken 7s but even at 6s he’s still e/w and likely to go off shorter.
Elixir D’ainay if he was to run as well at 25s would be big, but probs goes for an easier race.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 16, 2019 at 07:20 #1392640I have had a reasonable bet on CHAMPAGNE PLATINUM 16s EW. The supreme will surely be his target. I think he is over priced and could potentially be a very smart prospect. I wouldn’t mind if he went straight to the festival.
He showed a good turn of foot and jumps well enough A fast run supreme would be perfect for him. Have also suck in a couple of multiplies
Good luck all.
January 16, 2019 at 13:55 #1392659Champagne Platinum rated 140, i’d be going County or Martin Pipe personally.
January 16, 2019 at 16:17 #1392669Fascinating to see that for the trial race on Saturday, Angels Breath is 4/5 out to 6/4 and Mister Fisher is 4/1 to 7/4.
Indication that there isn’t much between them at all? Or that AB might swevre the race? Any opinions welcome.
January 16, 2019 at 17:39 #1392677I agree CP is on a good mark. But at this stage What other good horses does JP have for the supreme?
Plus They have so many other horses for all the handicaps. You might be right but I will chance it. Actually taken 14s with bet 365 so will cash out with they plan to go handicap route.
January 16, 2019 at 17:41 #1392678I’d say the latter and he might go for the Dovecote
Could be tactical, could be a minor issue like a stone bruise.
January 16, 2019 at 17:50 #1392679Yep i agree with that, Elixir D’ainay could be his only other hope in the 2 mile division but he’d need to show up well in the DRF unless he drops Birchdale back in trip so he doesn’t clash with Champ in the Ballymore.
January 16, 2019 at 18:07 #1392682I’d run both Birchdale and Champ in the Ballymore, if I was JP.
He’s been double handed in festival races many a time and Birchdale doesn’t appear to be a 2 miler.
One of them might go to Dublin, swerve Cheltenham and head to Aintree.
January 17, 2019 at 19:26 #1392759I’ve been quite impressed with Bright Forecast this season and am happy to take a chance at 40/1 should he go well on Saturday.
January 17, 2019 at 20:21 #1392765Birchdale is very definitely not a two miler Mark, but think there’s a good chance he goes for the potato race over the Ballymore.
January 21, 2019 at 21:55 #1393211Just flicking through the entries for the 2m grade 1 at the Dublin racing festival, there’s plenty cards to be played in the Supreme yet.
The market for Mullins horses for the leopardstown race is well worth keeping an eye on… Bound to be value in the Chelt market with such a late show of some real top notch horses
January 28, 2019 at 12:29 #1394039There is a horse called Not So Sleepy running in the 1pm kempton novice hurdle today. This is his hurdles debut today but a big performance here and he could get entered in the supreme. Cant see any prices offered for any big races for this horse but that could change after todays race.
Really should bolt up here and if he does then cheltenham is a possible though whatever is achieved today he will need to improve again massively to be competitive at chelt.
I’m not tipping it for the supreme but it could become a late player after today and will be interesting to watch.
January 28, 2019 at 12:43 #1394041What makes you think it’s a competitor for this? Even if it does bolt up today, which I agree he has a big chance. I can’t see it coming for this, miles off this class. Are you going off it’s flat rating? If so then I’m guessing you’re betting scarlet dragon for this too as it’s a flat rating of 104 and bolted up the other day
