Unibet, Henderson’s sponsor, only go 4/1.

    Quality horse
The runner up travelled very smooth but once Jet Powered was allowed to stride on he left him for dead in an instance

“The horses that were brought down seemed to be OK but the other horse broke down very badly. Very sad to see and for the owners.”

Thanks for the update Cork, yeah it wasn’t even over a hurdle was it, it was as they just coming off the final bend into the striahgt, I didn’t see myself whether a horse slipped or fell because it got an injury.

Will grangeclere west be a 2 miler?

Seems to have a stayers pedigree and hes starting over 2m4f

I had him in my mind as very much a ballymore or bartlett type

Not too concerned where he starts off FF as mullins always sais it doesnt really matter the distance they start over, its just important getting them out

In regards to his target and with all the other mullins supreme horses, it depends what facile vega does, champ kiely will win the royal bond next weekend so should be heading here regardless, the rest will depend on the fav

Speculative on GW, but his bumper win in which he had far too much speed for the 140+ rated stayer salvador ziggy, looked to have a very nice turn of foot to me anyway, could be something too look at for the ballymore though, 65s currently, sunday will reveal a bit more anyway!

Ham, you say that on Kiely, but sure Sir G ran around in 2ms and upped to Ballymore….

Ah of course jack, just the way id view it, same as last year it really just depends on what vega does, id actually think theres a bigger chance of vega stepping upto the ballymore, given the CB win

Facile Vega runs in a few minuntes. Anything else then a canter should be worrying.

Very impressive from Facile Vega there, would probably still rather be on Jet Powered at the current odds though seems an easy e/w play does the Henderson horse

Nice to see Facile Vega back out and cruising to victory
he does seem to have a high knee action although I’m no expert on those things

Was that a “jockeys shall not carry whips” race he won today?

I have FACILE VEGA at 7/2 for this and in many multiples. so glad to see it didn’t come out of a canter.

Barry Connell has just been interviewed on RTV and said he wouldn’t swap Marine Nationale for anything, although he is aware that Facile Vega “could do a Constitution Hill” and obliterate everyone.

In other news, I’m slightly disappointed that Jet Powered isn’t entered in Kempton’s opener on Boxing Day. Henderson often- but not always- runs his best novice in this; he’s got a couple of (in my opinion) the supporting cast entered this year.

Henderson been saying he gets ‘active and busy at home’ so he’s just being given a little more time before he runs again. And he was asked last week which novice hurdlers he was most excited about this year and he said Jet Powered comes to mind.
