The more I know the less I understand.
November 5, 2024 at 11:39 #1711924By the time the race had started I think I’d had 3pence each way on nearly all the runners. It was only because I put 3pence each way on the horses that scored highly with the OLBG stats that I struck lucky: 14/15. In the past I used to do a chart with the OLBG stats but now I just follow what they say. The winner also had the second highest RPR in the race, the same RPR as Buckaroo. How it scored highly on both counts is beyond me looking at its race record. However the Japanese horse that came so close to winning scored badly in both; I think it scored 7/15 stats wise.
November 5, 2024 at 20:41 #1711950The result will make the lads even more miffed on the favs withdrawal. On all known form Jan brueghel looked a snip in the race. Just saying.

November 5, 2024 at 22:24 #1711953Not when you have as many 3pence ew bets as I had. I think I’ll be too old to stay up to listen to it next year. I’ve slept all day. I used to go into work afterwards back in the day! What a great result for Australian racing, though. I think they’re struggling with the anti racing lot as much as we are and it will have silenced them. The race needs a story behind it and it certainly got that. I do like it when small trainers win big races!
