Thrown a dart at Absurde 12-1 ew 5 places.
Trainer has said he is more mature this year. And 52.5kg looks ok.
October 23, 2024 at 13:11 #1710616Onesmoothoperator was quite impressive on his first outing Down Under and is also available at 12s.
October 23, 2024 at 13:33 #1710617Yes I saw that. Not altogether convinced if, after 37 races, he will beat everything in the Melbourne Cup though. And he will carry a penalty for that success, which may or may not get him in.
October 23, 2024 at 13:56 #1710619I know, Mike. But maybe he’s an improved and more mature horse at the age of six. Otherwise you’re right, he’s pretty much exposed.
October 23, 2024 at 22:10 #1710652As they say in the home TV shows OSO ticks lot boxes , needs pen to make sure he makes it in so will still get in light .His turn foot massive plus , he is close at the clocktower he will be the one quickening .
October 23, 2024 at 22:13 #1710653Big field experience a big help too. I dont like the Fav at all , looks a grinder , id put at least 12 ahead of him and can see him well out the top 10 .
Moonie Valley Gold Cup tomorrow night will sort a couple out , Francisco Guardi like Interpretation showing some signs of live again.October 23, 2024 at 22:23 #1710654I’m on Vauban in a treble with Grey Dawning for the king George and El Fabiolo the champion chase.
Willie has him much fitter for it this year and I’m convinced that wasn’t his true running last year. It can’t have been.
October 24, 2024 at 03:44 #1710657OSO got 1 kg pen , assured start and on 51kgs , Ellison deserves a good run as been unlucky in past and he is a massive chance now
October 24, 2024 at 15:02 #1710672I backed Absurde early for this at 50s as was really impressed with his run last season.
Added Jan Brueghel at 8s when he was touted for it.

October 25, 2024 at 11:17 #1710705The hot fav got injured in the OSO race as well, which I forgot to mention in my earlier post. Something to bear in mind.
October 25, 2024 at 22:16 #1710742You can confine my knowledge and interest in flat racing overall on a postage stamp but I’m really not seeing the love for this Elison horse.
Northumberland plate winners shouldn’t have a prayer in the Melbourne cup!
October 29, 2024 at 10:38 #1711146Jan Brueghel NR.
October 29, 2024 at 14:09 #1711156Couldn’t have had him personally but anytime the fav is taken out the race and you’re on another it can only be taken as a positive.
November 3, 2024 at 20:00 #1711757Couldn’t resist having a bet on BUCKAROO 11/2. Genuine, consistent oz group 1 performer with the magic man on board, it’s just whether he stays. If he does, he’s a mile better than the rest.
November 4, 2024 at 09:04 #1711772Had a small punt on
Interpretation 16s.
Best of luck to all
November 4, 2024 at 11:26 #1711777Saint George 25-1 e/w 5 places
