    GS was the third choice Ballydoyle runner, Mike.
    Third choice Ballydoyle runners (especially front runners) are these days ridden not to suit themselves but to suit the more favoured Ballydoyle horses. In that way he was a non-trier.

    Where to next for the winner. Levey thinks he’s a hold Cup horse. The first two could suit the Melbourne Cup but the lads seem to have gone off that idea recently. I’d put them both away now and look forward to their 4 yr old careers.

    Ive got it at the 5 English classic winners in total 6 runs as 2 year olds , two unraced , one raced once in Nov . That must be some record .
