SMS has had just 1 winner in his last 28 runners. Some ran well, but an awful lot under performed. That 1 winner a 4/9 shot who got home by a head.

Not what the trainer might wish going in to King George week. Plenty of time for it to change, but must be a little worrying.

John Gosden isn’t in the best of form either.

The Stoute situation makes the King George look very trappy. It wouldn’t surprise me to learn of a "slight setback" for Workforce in the next few days and the horse be taken out. Hopefully not.

Doesn’t Stoute have a flat patch almost every year when the majority of runners are 3yo maidens and handicappers? I’d be worried if he wasn’t winning races in the Spring and late Autumn but right now the stable "form" doesn’t bother me.

Gosden on the other hand is simply going badly. Look out Mr Buick!

As for KOF – LMAO @ Zar

    Not bovvered Chiswickian!

    Stoute’s had 3 winners from 45 runners (

    6.7% strike rate

    )so far this July.
In the past he’s had 22%, 17%, 23% and 28% in this month. That must include "3yo maidens and handicappers" too, not exactly a "flat patch".

It’s not the strike rate you’d expect from Sir Michael at this time of the season; makes you think there’s probably a virus in the yard.

You still not bovvered Chiswickian? :?

I backed him in The Irish Derby but I don’t think he’s good enogh to win a KG, try Age Of Aquarius 20-1 with Ladbrokes……Seamie leads all the way?

Better not run them ala SNA than run them ala JanVermeer and have people conclude they are not worth a damn.See report on Air Chief Marshal yesterday "he felt like a different horse" Murtagh said.

Weekender gallop reports say Workforce has been working very well. However who was he working with? How did the other "working very well" horses do at the track?

Wonder did he get a virus at the Derby from O’Brien horses?

Still not bothered ( check spelling or would you rather be some antagonistic smart alleck? ).

If you want to have an intelligent discussion then show some intelligence Ginger. Stats mean nothing. Everyone will have a long run of outs eventually that has nothing to do with illness led loss of form.

I have looked at the long list of beaten horses and they do not alarm me. As I said they are maidens and handicappers. If the Gr1 horses were underperforming I’d be more concerned. The only Gr1 runners in the recent list are –

Eldalil – SP 10/1 and I gave her little or no hope anyway. Filly form can and does fluctuate wildly. You’d be a lot more concerned about the run of Hibaayeb.

Kingsgate Native – SP 14/1 ran true to form and would have been closer if not for interference. No discernable loss of form.

Spanish Moon – 11/8 and an easy lay. A perpetual disappointment on these shores. Performed to par for mine.

Strawberrydaiquiri – 6/1 and interferred with or would have finished closer. Performed to par for mine.

I have looked at the individuals and their performances and they don’t ring too many alarms. Numerous short priced losers from the yard were layed by me suggesting they were considered vulnerable/poor value on the formbook.

Ginger you quote a performance history from July as your "proof". I never mentioned this month by name so you’re responding entirely on your own parameters. The stable has no discernable drop off in entries and reports from the gallops suggest there’s nothing wrong with a number of the stable’s better gallopers. I await more concrete proof of the "virus".

    I forgot to mention –

Please by all means make a list of those that underperformed.

What it does show, if the stable is not out of form, is that even the biggest yards have their share of three-legged camels.

    What the ….?

How exactly did I deserve that Chiswickian?

    But am I bovvered though?

    b-o-v-v-e-r-e-d

    bovvered!

I was only trying to put a bit of light-hearted "banta" in to the discussion. Take it you’re not a fan of Ms. Catherine Tate then, a true ginger gem.

    "Antagonistic"?
    "Smart Alleck"?
    "show some intelligennce"?

Suggest you get a sense of humour Miss.

But am I bovvered though Miss?

I’m sure I can hear someone’s bottle flapping as the race draws near :D

I think Ginger’s been at the table sherry again. :o

    He’s went all " street "

    Banta ? Bovvered? :?

    1/5 on he’s drunk.

Not that he’d be interested at that price.

1/5 Himself!!! that’s no VALUE at all!

Sadly it’s 100,000,000/1 these days mate. Being drunk when you’re diabetic is dangerous! But am I bovvered?

Just talkin’ like what that Ms. Tate (Lauren) does. My own accent is "ampshire".
