I would agree with that interpretation Wilts but it doesn’t stack up to me unless the horse has some physical issues or he really won’t let himself down on it. Its not like he’s pulling all his other horses out on some welfare matter. He’s even put Jonbon into the firing line
March 12, 2026 at 14:35 #1758941Even though it looks very lose on top, the last race (Jack Richards Novice Chase) was fast by 0.16s even though at times they were clocking high 15 to low 16s furlongs following a fast start.
FTF won last year’s race on officially good to soft ground with no problems and in a time of 5m 9.61s, which when compared to the Jack Richards Novice Chase time of 5m 10.84s shows that the ground is probably pretty similar to last year and there was no mention of him not running because of the ground last year.
If they pull him out over the ground, it will be a total disgrace
March 12, 2026 at 15:07 #1758969Mullins is 70% FTF not to run… He’s just waiting on Mike for a update on the weather forecast

March 12, 2026 at 15:18 #1758983Aww well I’m sure theyll get soft at Aintree or Punchestown …. Not , what a waste
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 12, 2026 at 15:19 #1758984Trying to make a point about the ground pathetic.
The more I know the less I understand.
March 12, 2026 at 15:39 #1758997Incredible decision. Is genuine good ground with some soft patches no suitable enough?
The FTF saga is getting even more pathetic….. Very poor stuff, JP.March 12, 2026 at 15:45 #1759004No bet but rooting for Jonbon.
The more I know the less I understand.
March 12, 2026 at 15:47 #1759006Disgraceful decision. There’s definitely more to it as absolutely nothing wrong with that ground.
Romeo Coolio and Impose Toi have run absolute stinkers after gruelling seasons. I’d love to see Jonbon win this but can’t see it after a similar gruelling campaign.
He’d have won this if he’d skipped Ascot the other day imo.
March 12, 2026 at 15:47 #1759007Is the ground to be softer tomorrow … , does anyone get the feeling there desperate for Jonbon to win …
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 12, 2026 at 15:47 #1759008Backed Heart Wood at 6/1, but otherwise I have no opinion. IEP should go very close, as Jonbon might have had a hard race at Ascot last time out.
March 12, 2026 at 15:47 #1759009I’ll have a wee additional interest on Matata
Banbridge 10’s
Matata 25’sMarch 12, 2026 at 15:48 #1759010Wide open just a watch for me now. I’ll be cheering Jonbon on because it’ll be a nice story.
March 12, 2026 at 15:50 #1759012Left with IEP and 2 anteposts on Heart Wood , I’d love Heart Wood to win
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 12, 2026 at 15:50 #1759013Jonbon for me
