He’s had a tough season , he just doesn’t have the horses of 2/3 years ago , he is a lovely guy though , I imagine he’s popular with his owners

At the end of the day if you don’t have the horse(s) it doesn’t metter how good a trainer you are.

I would imagine there are a fair few number of trainers (both sides of the sea) that if they had some of the big named owners supplying them with the ammunition (like the big named trainers can call upon year in year out) they would also be able to win the big races too.

I liked the way Heartwoods owner had a dig at those owners who take the reins of winning horses from the stable staff and lead them in. It always annoys me and I rather hope the horse will tread on their feet…
