The thing is Ian, how much further can Putin go without there being
an uprising from the people of the west. I understand why all the
politicians/military men are trying not to get involved. We literally
could be talking Armageddon. How much further can he go, what level
of attrocities are we still going to stand off from. There has to come
a tipping point at some time.The Poles, or at least the people, if not the Politicians, have said
they would be prepared to help out and fight with their neighbours Ukraine.
If Poles, in any numbers, went in to fight, and if many were killed, if as
I expect there is going to be more of a missile war to assist Putin’s troops
on the ground, would that be enough ? If Putin were to make any move whatsoever
towards Poland, there is no way the west could stay on the sidelines.What is the Chinese position, not too long before the invasion, early March, the
Chinese President Xi Jinping declared with Putin that theirs was “a partnership with
no limits”. I’m not aware if they have changed that stance.The whole thing scares the Sh*t out of me.

I despise china but there’s little in this for them except perhaps russias reliance on their market. They will say this and that but they didn’t vote in favor at the un and are probably seetHing at the fact that their biggest markets by far are finding that its quite possible to distance themselves from vile regimes

from twitter. I don’t use twitter. I’m Bemused by your comments Clive.If you’re just pointing out the twitter comments to be read then fair enough, but that

only person, as far as I know, who has brought up and publihed from the Russian Media

I do not quote the many (but not all) Corbyn and Trump supporters (they overlap of course) who promote rubbish conspiracy theories and are strongly favour of the invasion and killings

a live feed on the BBC website.Powerful words from Zelenski about the UN Security Council of which Russia is a member.
He calls for the Un S C to throw out Russia. He says if the council cannot find a way
to help stop Russia’s actions in Ukraine it should “dissolve”, because it proves “there
is nothing that you can do besides conversation”.That’s powerful stuff, and has a great deal of truth about it. If the UN Security Coucil
condemn Russia’s actions, which they say they do, then to allow Russia to remain a member
makes no sense.Russian representative Vasily Nebenzya addressing the council, this should be interesting.
No probs Clive, it was my missunderstanding
I thought Zelensky really shot from the hip today, he took the UN Security
Council straight on. He’s got the gonads to stand in front of them and tell
them they might as well disband, if they don’t remove Russia from the Council.
If they don’t, they are just all talk. Good on him.This goes against the grain, but I’ve got to take off my hat to Boris
for sending out a video via social media, in an attempt to get to Russians
telling them of the atrocities in Ukraine and to install a VPN (virtual private network)
so they could access news from outside of Russia. Problem is how the Russians
try and block everything deemed anti Russian, but I think some information
could get through and perhaps if it spreads the masses might get the message
and realise the truth. Looking at the information and videos of scenes in Ukraine
might help turn the tide of opinion.The dark web should allow some of the truth to get in, it’s not all drugs and porn.
Seeing as I am rather partial to a coffee and a chocolate biscuit (sometimes two!) in an evening, and both are legal, I’ve never felt the need to try to access the dark web.
And unless you can get something even nicer than a chocolate hob nob there, I suspect I never will.
Am I missing much?
