I hold various views which would be considered right of centre. Same with left of centre. I analyse the subject at hand, and form my own opinion of what I think is correct.
You can’t just pop people in to neat little boxes to judge them or their views.

100% TTC – I am the same.
All the groups GT lists believe in different things.
Putting them all in the same “the left” box because the one thing they have in common is not being Conservative is risible in the extreme.
GT really lets himself down when he does this – I have come to expect confrontational nonsense from some here, but not GT.
He’s capable of far better than this.

And that’s what anyone who throws around terms like “the left” and “the right” looks.
As for what’s happening now, as usual the British media make me shake my head.
It’s all a big game about plucky Ukrainians – except these are real people dying against overwhelming force – and even worse, feel good stories about what Brits are doing to help (all meaningless token stuff).
Whatever the global catastrophe, here’s a chance to feel good – about OURSELVES.
The economic sanctions have clearly rattled Putin – he wasn’t expecting anything on this scale, the West hurting itself to hurt him, and the big unknown is how he will react: escalate or appease.
Escalate looks long odds on at the moment.

I doubt Putin was watching the 7.30 at Wolverhampton last night.
The only things that will help are economic and sporting sanctions that hurt and military action. And NATO has already ruled out the latter.
I see that the following have taken steps to not release major films in Russia.

I can’t recall seeing 1 pro Russian comment on here.Nobody in here wants Putin to have his way, but to state that he has the forces, military
machinery and technology, not to mention the biggest army in the world, is not pro Putin
or Russia, it’s a fact.Gestures which fill the British press are for the British people, do you think Putin reads
them or even cares. The man is a psychopath, in the proper sense of the word. His unemotional
quiet controlled manner and obvious disregard for human life make him extremely dangerous and
difficult to deal with because he doesn’t care and will do whatever he has to. The west don’t
want anything to do with this, sanctions apart, and any amount of solidarity gestures for the
Ukraine will have no effect on him, because he doesn’t care.Your response to anyone who doesn’t simply see the Ukranians doing well and holding back the
Russian forces is that they are a supporter of Putin. The fact is, if this just goes to war
without negotiated settlement, the Ukranians will lose. So I guess you’ll say I’m a Putin
supporter for simply saying the obvious.Not one person on here wants Putin to take over Ukraine, but without help from the west, which
won’t come, it is inevitable. Anything else is just sticking your head in the sand
