Is he in danger of missing the race, Martin?
March 5, 2010 at 14:00 #280589I’d say it’s a danger but that’s all I’ve heard – that he coughed. They’ve flip flopped on Betfair Punchy now 6.0 to back and 9.8 to lay whilst Long Run is 4.1/4.3
March 5, 2010 at 14:08 #280592Long Run is entering place-lay territory at those kinds of odds.
March 5, 2010 at 14:10 #280594was thinking more of a moral myself!
March 5, 2010 at 14:21 #280596Fill your boots.
March 5, 2010 at 14:24 #280599Will do when the dust settles. Punchy was the only danger so far as I can tell.
March 5, 2010 at 14:27 #280601Iv heard that punchestowns down at Newmarket getting a scan done today, dont know how true this is just passing on what imformation that was passed to me.
March 5, 2010 at 15:21 #280618Found to be lame this morning, apparently.
Would this ordinarily necessitate a scan?
March 5, 2010 at 15:33 #28062112"s on the machine now!

I would if twas mine Grassy. Hope it works out for you.
March 5, 2010 at 15:46 #280629Punchestowns has reportedly suffered a setback, which is why all the money has come for Long Run.
Quite happy I backed Diamond Harry at 9s a few weeks back.
March 5, 2010 at 15:52 #280631Think it probably hurts the chasing pack more than it does me, to be honest Rod. Four of them in the Top ten have included Punchestowns as a bonus horse, and we haven’t included him in the line that’s lying in 9th place.
Not ideal, but could be worse.
March 5, 2010 at 16:55 #280637I hope the horse is ok, one of the best chasers i have seen in a long time, real nice sort too.

Treason! off with his head! Seriously Grass i just cant see him jumping round this year!I would lay Long Run, Solwhit and Sizing Europe in running at 2/1 and less! My 3 banker lays!

Do you betfair guys lay odds on horses not completing the course? You’ll know who I’m talking about if I say RSA
March 5, 2010 at 17:47 #280654Looking at Betfair, the last odds matched on Punchestowns were 6.4 so it would appear that he may still run
March 5, 2010 at 20:57 #280703Suggest initial movements on Betfair may have been prompted by the preview evening at Wincanton last night. Wasn’t there myself but my Dad was, and Coral’s representative (not Simon Clare, who didn’t show) dropped a hint that Punchestowns wouldn’t necessarily be running. Apparently further detail wasn’t forthcoming, but can say that like all good punters my Dad took the hint and made maximum use of it… by putting all of two pounds on Long Run

Sometimes information really is wasted on people.
One other point from the evening is that PFN’s most recommended bet is Tito Bustillo in the County Hurdle.
