Solid December form continues with another pair of winners today. Nurse Susan wasn’t an obvious one on recent form, but she was a well handicapped mare suited by course and conditions.

Worked the morning at the office next to Wokingham station, then train 3 stops to Ascot and in the course by 12.20. Long Walk Hurdle was the feature on the card alongside the Grade 2 Kennel Gate Hurdle. The former has long since been moved to the Saturday and the latter disappeared after 2021 (last winner was Jonbon).

I’ll hold off posting tomorrow’s ratings until meetings pass inspections. Very cold up here in Scotland overnight, they are inspecting tomorrow for Musselburgh’s Tuesday meeting and I’m not holding my breath.
With another inspection at Wincanton at 11.30 I wonder where Gabriel’s Getaway is as I type this at 10.45?

Yes, I tightened the filter on horses I rate and now pushing 50% in the first 3 rated which is something to work with. Looks like it’s back to jumping tomorrow, Taunton have been watering!
