And for the record I think that Sprinter will face his toughest challenge yet (apart from getting battered by Al Ferof in the Supreme)

You want to watch what you say there Billy, you might start something….

He’s cruising for a bruising

Actually more power to his elbow

It was thinking like that, that made me a small fortune last season. The more people who think Sanctuaire or something else out there can beat Sprinter Sacre the better…all the longer he’ll stay at backable odds

The more horses that Sprinter Sacre scares off the easier it will be for me to collect at least my place part off the 66/1 I’m holding on Sanctuaire!!!! And at this stage I’d be rather happy if Sprinter Sacre fulfilled your profercy as long as Sanctuaire was in the top 3. Without going over old ground I think we are in for a proper race, and can’t wait for the tingle creek and then champ chase and if sprinter wins the more power to him, but I wudnt go counting your money just yet!!

The problem with trying to win a small fortune this time round is that you’ll have to risk one as well! And there’s a lot of water to pass under the bridge between now and March

Interesting to see Sizing Europe declared at Gowran Park tomorrow over 2m 4f if he wins and sees out the distance id expect them to start the annual Sizing Europe Gold Cup dream again

Now wouldn’t be bad time to try and get a few quid on with Sporting Bet at 12/1 Billy (if you have 10 accounts and want 10 quid on him) Bit of money left with Betfair but getting matched has dried up with the news he’s been doing well and is expected to win tomorrow. I’d expect him to be no better than 6 or 7/1 if he wins well tomorrow and if I am right you are on to round about 4/5 on your dosh guaranteed by laying him back……..but a big fat zero if he doesn’t :P

Wouldn’t surprise me if he get’s beaten tomorrow. He has beaten below par first time out the past seasons now and Henry de Bromhead isn’t going to rush him.

Watching brief for me, sizing is one of my fav horses but I believe they will step him up this year and if he is beaten first time up then might struggle to get out of bet. But see the logic in it and wish u luck

Actually the more i think about your betting proposition re sizing Europe im not sure i do see the logic, and i certainly dont mean any disrespect to you.

But you have made abundantly clear that you can not see under any circumstances Sprinter being beaten so why risk a stake on Sizing when he has a few question marks over him to get a 5/4 free bet, but risk loosing your stake if you cant trade. If Sizing wins today it wouldn’t be the biggest shock in the world for HDB to announce to the waiting media that he sees Sizings future over longer trips and if he gets turned over like i believe he has a couple of times in recent years you’ll also struggle to trade your bet. So not sure its worth the fuss especially when youve made it clear that the chance of a pay day on this bet will only be if Sprinter fails to line up in the Champion Chase?

Billy old mate Sizing Europe blatantly does not stay 3 miles in top class company.

He had the JnWine at his mercy and stopped dead when 2nd to Quito De La Roque. He was beaten by Kauto Star in the same race again failing to see out the trip….Despite Kauto’s performance that day was worry to say the least.

I suppose he might get the trip in the King George round Kempton and good ground but I wouldn’t bet on it.

I’ve actually been in disagreement about the way they mess about with the horse but I reckon it’s the owner not the trainer who has done fantastically well with the horse.

I see Ladbrokes have cut him to 4/1 I’d be delighted if I could lay him at 6/1 right now but there’s no chance of that at the moment.. As far as my logic goes I had a good bet on him today so I’m well in front without laying him so I will sit on it for a while and see where he goes next. If it’s the tingle Creek I’ll be laying him at any price I can

I think I said to be fair with the two events being so far apart I didn’t know how bookies would view a bet like that.

However that’s a betting slip is it? Who’s? No time stamp No date

Just asking because while there appears to be a couple of bar codes doesn’t the date and time have to be printed on all betting slips and be visible for the customer to read in case of any disputes?

Don’t also HM Revenue & Customs insist they are date and time stamped?

Changed days if they are not

Ladbrokes have been 4/1 since they opened prices on the race.

Unfortunately looks like he’ll not go for the Tingle Creek, he was electric there last year and a clash with Sprinter Sacre would have been something to savour imo!

As much as I think Sprinter Sacre is a certainty, have to have a piece of Sizing Europe at 10/1 with Sportingbet. Outrageously good Each Way price. Cheltenham specialist, will be sure to place if turning up.

Think it’s the turning up that could be the problem, otherwise I’d agree completely. Sprinter Sacre could well scare them all off, and with HDB already saying that a tilt at the King George is possible, Sizing Europe could well be upped in trip at the festival. I could see the Ryanair being a likely target. Shame really because I’ve always been a big believer that he’s a 2 miler, end of.

There’s absolutely no way they’d run the horse in the Ryanair with it likely being his last year capable of winning a Championship race. If he can’t win a fair race over three miles in Ireland (or KG, although winning or going close in that will be far more inconclusive), they will go for the Champion Chase.

Assuming Sprinter Sacre continues to be the beast this season that he was last which he surely will be, nothing will beat him. HDB knows that, and my guess would be that’s why they’re aiming him at the King George. Otherwise, why else stray from the 2 mile division? It happened a couple of years ago, but the thought might be(wrongly in my opinion) that he’ll get further in time.
