Think the word farce is the word here.
March 14, 2012 at 15:27 #396611Might be talking through my pocket but that was an amateurish shambles.

March 14, 2012 at 15:27 #396613Farcical!
Absolutely unacceptable by the officials – typical jobsworths.
And yes, it cost me a big wedge – sour grapes? Probably!March 14, 2012 at 15:32 #396616reminded me of the 1994 grand national.
March 14, 2012 at 15:33 #396617A very fitting race for me.
A horse trained by a lying cheat, owned by a snot-nosed toff, decided by farcical stewarding in a sport run by lords of the realm who are all in each other’s pockets.
I’m off. Bye.
March 14, 2012 at 15:37 #396619FR was more inconvenienced at the final fence for me.

March 14, 2012 at 15:41 #396624Nothing like prejudices to fuel stupidity.
Judging people by their accent is anti-snobbery which is just as bad as snobbery itself.Am delighted for Michael Buckley, puts in a lot of money in to the game and hasn’t had the best of luck over the last couple of years.
Quite frankly Zark, considering what you’ve said recently, hope you don’t come back.
Value Is EverythingMarch 14, 2012 at 15:43 #396625Shocking from the stewards accusing the jockeys, totally inept flag waving who should of been out a lot further was the problem.

Seriously? Why was there no steward’s inquiry? Cannot think of a more clear cut case for holding an inquiry even if the placings remained unaltered which they probably should have done. Stewards are an absolute disgrace to a supposedly professional sport.

Utter farce on one of racings biggest days. Man with the flag ran out the way but why were the boards moved ?
Tape at every fence pulled across from the wing, boards across the fence, steward with flag. Make it as obvious as possible – i agree with Francomb
March 14, 2012 at 15:46 #396629I’m a big Sizing Europe fan but I think Finian’s would have won anyway, he was well on top at the end.
March 14, 2012 at 15:48 #396631Having seen the head on, i perhaps take it back. But at worst they’ve been inconvenienced equally.
I’ve had some luck today perhaps. But i don’t think so. FR jumped beautifully.
March 14, 2012 at 15:52 #396632wasn’t even a stewards! incredible.
what a gentleman henry de bromhead is. just interviewed and was very humble, when he could easily have slagged off the farcial stewards.
imagine a ferguson or a wenger in that situation, they’d be fuming and throwing their toys out of the pram.

I was on SE in ante-post doubles with Quevega and Sprinter Sacre, so i’m absolutely hacked off, but whether the result would’ve changed if the last fence was left in or more importantly a clear cut situ no one knows.
BUT Channel 4 just showed film with the officials putting up white boards right across the last fence – then they moved it to the inside – why? Some pompous official now trying to weasel himself out of it – AD pressing him.
Joke!!March 14, 2012 at 15:54 #396634What does the chequered flag mean officially? Is it ‘bypass fence’ or is it just ‘hazzard’?
