June 1, 2026 at 18:05 #1767716I find it all rather sad. During the pandemic I was envious of Scotland having a grown up in charge.
Agreed, she talked a lot more sense than that prat Boris.

I've walked and I crawled on six crooked highwaysJune 1, 2026 at 18:20 #1767718Covid was allegedly her finest hour, but the stats re deaths in care homes, etc told otherwise.
Her press conferences were an absolute sham. The devolved governments were given advanced notice of the main daily Westminster briefings.
So, Sturgeon being Sturgeon decided to hold her covid briefings just a little in advance of Westminster’s, knowing full well she was pulling a fast one and making herself look more competent.
An absolute fraud, fawned upon by English Socialists, at that time.

June 2, 2026 at 08:04 #1767745It also has its comical side. As reported yesterday:
“Peter Murrell bought more than 100 toilet rolls just hours before then First Minister Nicola Sturgeon warned the public against panic-buying during the pandemic.
The disgraced SNP chief executive splurged on the essentials as his now estranged wife urged Scots to ‘apply common sense’ when lockdown loomed in March 2020.
Court documents reveal Murrell spent £55.98 on 108 Andrex toilet rolls on March 7 while supermarkets battled chronic shortages of a number of essential items.
Just 48 hours later, Ms Sturgeon appeared at a press conference instructing the public to ‘behave as rationally as possible’ and avoid bulk buying in shops.”
