Chris B; please please cheer on Sea the Stars for me..I can’t remember ever being so excited about a flat race before, or wanted a horse to win a race so much! Have a great time.

Just a warning to all Sea The Stars fans – seems I could stop just about anything at the moment – having had doubts most of the year I am with him this time. It looks a very ordinary renewal and as the odds suggest unless he meets trouble in running he really should win again.

There’s a possibility i’ll have egg on chin 4pm Sunday, but racing is all about opinions – and mine is that the non-staying accusations against (Derby-winning) Sea The Stars are absolute drivel, and Sundays Arc is a penalty kick. And i don’t say that lightly.

In Paris now, got a cracking hotel near Longchamp, south west of the centre. Will give u going updates and weather reports tomorrow and Sunday. Dry at the mo, similar to UK autumn weather.

Really got to feel sorry for Lemaire who misses out on Stacelita with a broken collarbone, Stacelita is without a jockey.

Soumillion wants the ride on Stacelita and is currently undergoing medical tests to enable him to ride tomorrow.

I’m not a man of stats, but i heard earlier on C4 that none of the last 6 odds on favourites have won, and the last at odds to win was back in something like 1975.

I kinda took a risk on the ground not being good enough for STS to even run, so i’m with my earlier gambles of Stacelita, Conduit and F&G.

It will be a cracker !

It looks a very ordinary renewal

Unreal. Some people are just never satisfied. There must be, what, nine/ten Group 1 winners in this year’s contest?

I think while STS is the best horse in the race. Not being given a break like the other faniced horses will come back to haunt them

Racing needs genuine big stars, and that’s what Sea the Stars is, hence lets cheer for an Oxx win
