Good competitive sprint, am I the only one willing to show loyalty and stick with High Standing again?
Or at least following the foreign raiders!

War Artist for me.
Would’ve finished closer to SSB if he was on the stand side at Ascot.
7.2 on the machine.

August 8, 2010 at 01:05 #311624After last year’s
result
can we trust the French not to overwater to their advantage
August 8, 2010 at 06:05 #311640Of course not; to get the right course they will water.Wouldn’t you?
August 8, 2010 at 07:11 #311647Surely Regal Parade, whatever the ground? Ideal distance for him?
August 8, 2010 at 08:18 #311652I know I’m giving her the kiss of death here, but I think Joanna could be a decent pick, if only each way.
She’s got proven class, and a horse going down in trip is always worth keeping an eye out for, I think.
BlueSky @pghenn.bsky.social
So don't run, just like the others always do
August 8, 2010 at 10:06 #311674gerald, he’s 20/1 on the pmu morning odds, hopefully that’s his sp too
August 8, 2010 at 12:18 #311695Flo Jo for me – course winner as a 2yo in an exceptional time, dropped back to 7f no problems last time out against some useful older horses and stepping down to 6.5f should hold no problems for her either. JCR and Soumi clearly think the world of her given their comments in the press since she joined them after the Marcel Boussac and she’s already beaten Special Duty amongst others.
13/2 looks more than fair

August 8, 2010 at 13:42 #311708what a cracking price
August 8, 2010 at 13:47 #311710Looks like it’ll be around 8/1 on PMU BB – great call.
Thought Flo Jo had it when Soumi pulled her out travelling as well as they were but Regal Parade kept finding more!

August 8, 2010 at 13:49 #311711yeah they backed him late which is a shame(!) but still way too high…she travels like the wrath of god doesn’t she, great sight, and a classy one she met a real beast there…easy lay off i/r though!
August 8, 2010 at 14:41 #311715Was asleep. Missed it.

Simple but effective Gerald,Well done!
August 8, 2010 at 16:21 #311730Wasn’t anything to write. Everyone knows that the horse won the Vernons last season, and everyone knows the horse came back to form lto.
Only need to write an essay if you’re picking a horse that has been beaten 57 lengths in its last 3 starts.

and yet they still back High Standing!!!!!!!
August 8, 2010 at 21:31 #311774I must confess to siding with Tom Segal and backed Varnnar. At the risk of pocket talking, does anyone else think Mosse went off far too fast and that this ride is as questionable as the one he gave Dalghar as Goodwood (when John Francome dryly pointed out that the rider hadn’t ridden Goodwood very often before!).
Hats of to Dandy though – the srpint king does it again – and well done Gerald.
