As I’ve said on other threads of late Mosse is absolute poison in the saddle. His decision making and race reading has been deplorable all season. A very poor conveyance for such a highly rated individual. What part of the formbook told him that Varenar was a Gr1 pacemaker?
As for Pricewise I thought it was one of his worst value selections ever.

August 10, 2010 at 10:07 #311992Varenar – pacemaker = good idea

As he’s just not that good is he? – Away from Longchamps anyways!

What piece of form made him a fav (4/1) and also a shorter price than ‘Amico Fritz’ 12/1 & ‘Smooth Operator’ 40/1?!
Both of whom had finished ahead of him on occasions…often more so than he had in front of them…(I suppose it was his defeat of ‘Goldikova’ in a race that due to trip & starting place on a course that often throws up shock results! – eg: Toylsome 100/1!)

Agreed that was some pick by Pricewise!

Surely he (Mr Mosse) is more of a ‘poisson’ in the saddle over here?!

As for his season – he’s still one of the top earners…

P.s: he’d of needed arms like Popeye to pull back ‘Dalghar’ that day!!
