Looks like Lily will probably need a trip
You mean she’s slow!!
February 27, 2009 at 01:10 #212517Does she have a real name yet? I nominate "The Hairy Nurse"
I defy you to come up with anything better
February 27, 2009 at 01:27 #212523I thought the name was Looks like Lily
February 27, 2009 at 01:33 #212525It’s supposed to be ‘Tobayornottobay’ but I’m not sure if the name has been officially registered yet.

March 7, 2009 at 13:48 #214136Lily will be put away for a NH campaign next year and we will have first option on her.
Meanwhile we have taken partial leases on Divine Spirit & Yourelikemefrank to give us a bit of interest during the flat season.
March 9, 2009 at 00:49 #214463Interesting
March 9, 2009 at 02:38 #214497Interesting indeed.
We’ve had some disappointments in the last 8 months or so with untried types so we’ve pushed the boat out in a concerted attempt to get a winner or two this season.
Divine Spirit will give good value this year as always and is virtually on a winning mark even before the season starts.
The Balding colt was stuffy and took a lot of time to come to hand as a 2 year old but he does have a a lot of speed and will improve on the fair form that he’s shown already. He’s on a good mark and will be competetive at his own level this season.
April 13, 2009 at 20:13 #221692Divine Spirit goes to Thirsk with any luck on Friday for his first run for us with Royston Ffrench booked.
He’ll almost certainly need the run so we wouldnt be too bothered if the ground was on the quick side of good even though he needs a bit of cut these days. Any quicker than that though and he wont be risked so we’re praying for a bit of rain.
April 14, 2009 at 23:51 #221868The fingers will, as usual, be crossed.
April 27, 2009 at 19:21 #223909fingers crossed
April 28, 2009 at 01:38 #224010we’ll have another go with Divine Spirit next Saturday, again at Thirsk.
Very frustrating period with a lack of opportunities in the North this time of year (for suitable sprint handicaps anyway) and a totally desperate lack of rain
April 28, 2009 at 09:32 #224047I don’t think lack of rain is going to be a problem this week
May 3, 2009 at 13:50 #225286Ran a perfectly respectable race and if the handicapper is kind and drops him a pound to 75 that will give us a couple more options.
May 4, 2009 at 22:54 #225662That’s good news!
May 5, 2009 at 21:17 #225839If that is the best picture of your horse you could publish,I am sorry to say that you guys are in trouble. It is physically disappoiting and looks very small and backward.Save yourselves a few quid and put him in a paddock.
May 6, 2009 at 01:21 #225885Well ordinarily I would have said welcome to the forum, Richard, but I find your first post somewhat rude. I don’t know what photograph you are referring to – perhaps you could enlighten us?
