So you’ve turned this round on Barry Orr now and he should rush to his phone to take the horse out of the betting? Books aren’t there to hold your hand.
That was last night and he was taken out this morning, it’s simply a non-issue.
March 11, 2018 at 22:16 #1345772I’d be very interested to see Mr Whipped go here instead of the 3 miler. Ground and trip should suit and looks value. Black Op could run a big race too, but I’d prefer to see the trainer in better form.
March 11, 2018 at 22:26 #1345775Don’t know the details of how it should be, but have to say I agree with botch and Joe that it’s wrong for horses to consistently (especially at Cheltenham every year) get backed/laid hard for a race for 2-3 days before an announcement comes out with regards to said horse, just shows a genuine disregard for punters – but I guess those at the top of the game do have a disregard for punters so we shouldn’t expect anything less.
Just shouldn’t be this way.
March 12, 2018 at 01:24 #1345801I’m another one who agrees with that. Now on earth can it be allowed that a non runner can be announced through a betting blog. It’s morally wrong imo.
As for the race, my opinions on Samcro have been clear since page 1. Superstar in waiting. Believe the hype.
March 14, 2018 at 11:49 #1346434Samcro has potential to be very, very special. However, his form up to this point isn’t as far in front of Next Destination to warrent the prices (the two probably clear of the rest). Therefore, when getting back exactly what I put on if ND finishes in the first 3 – Next Destination ew @ 4/1 seems the best bet. Even money the place too, compared to (if place only best current price 4/7).
Value Is EverythingMarch 14, 2018 at 12:16 #1346438Next Destination w/o Samcro at 5/4 is a great bet and I’d feel safer with that rather than 4/6 on Samcro.
March 14, 2018 at 13:42 #1346451Samcro, beautiful conformation, beautiful mover, beautiful form.
Next Destination should’ve gone Albert.
Value Is EverythingMarch 14, 2018 at 13:48 #1346453Brilliant from samcro, exciting to see how well he can jump a fence now. If Black op had jumped better however it would have been more interesting.
Next destination needs a trip, and I’d really like him over fences at 3 miles next seasonMarch 14, 2018 at 13:54 #1346458ND was hopelessly outpaced coming down the hill and then flew home coming up the hill, clearly needs 3m and could be interesting if going novice chasing next year – winner was impressive having his first proper race but I think it is a bit early for the comments I am hearing on both tv channels, all of his form (bar one run on good/yielding) is on soft/heavy ground so it will be interesting to see whether he can dominate on better ground.
Just realised that Samcro is by the same sire (Germany) as Faugheen.
March 14, 2018 at 14:45 #1346472V impressive, seemed to stroll through the race, probably went a bit wide + hit the front to soon, but was going away again at the end. Looks a natural chaser
