Why all the secrecy about Invitation Only? It doesn’t take a genius to work out that he isn’t going to the Festival.

Gonna take the 79s on offer for The Storyteller. Don’t know if he’ll even run here but his form ties in nicely with some of the market leaders.

Maybe an excuse to run him of a nice rating in the Martin pipe.

Not the first time a horse has been working badly and miraculously recovers in a weaker race at higher odds than you would have thought.

You could argue he has never been much value for any race. He isn’t much more than 14/1 for the Martin Pipe. Plenty of people have done their money for the Neptune and given his absence and that he hasn’t come close to fulfilling expectations it would be a big risk backing him in any race.

    Agreed.
I already went in at 10s and 7s any race (after beating barra) months ago. 99% sure he won’t go for any of the novice races. So Martin pipe the only hope but Wylie might already have battleford penciled in there. I’d be surprised if neither ran in it.

That wasn’t exactly a form boost for Finian’s oscar today was it… was much more encouraging for Neon Wolf supporters as Elgin ran extremely well

Invitation only had a setback, 50/50 to turn up

Gordon elliot confirmed shattered love goes here

I like the mares collateral form this season, and her forms been franked last time out.

Makes complete sence to run here with her allowance. And taken some of the 50s on offer

There’s a surprise. When was the setback, about two months ago?

Definitely between shattered love, lets dance and airlie beach there form is closely tied and is working out well for the most part, no point running shattered love against either or in the mares novice, fully entitled to come here with a chance

something you highlighted which for the most part should have been fairly obvious for anyone before they placed an AP bet after his last run

If he does, that’s 2 years in a row his shitty bingo game has cost me backing the winner of this.

Got a very uneasy feeling about this race. Three goes so far and been tempted in again.

Finian’s Oscar was my only runner but his form seems to take one knock after another. If you are on it is seemingly a case of praying that the step back up in trip is going to do the trick.

Neon Wolf’s very short price seems to be a triumph of hype over substance. Was that Haydock performance really that good? Is Elgin a great yardstick? Either way he is going to have to do more over a longer trip on ground that might be quicker than ideal.

I have added Messire Des Obeaux as he looks relatively solid but a similar case could easily be made for Monalee.

    Monalee is Albert Bartlett bound.
De Bromhead feels added distance and better ground gives his fella serious chance of reversing places with Death Duty
