Great job with Hukum Graham!
What an exciting race… not sure what happened to Auguste Rodin and also to my pick Emily Upjohn.July 29, 2023 at 16:32 #1657064Cheers Andre, what a brave horse
July 29, 2023 at 17:02 #1657071Well done BigG,

July 29, 2023 at 19:04 #1657092Hi Everyone
Just popped in to wish you all well and BigG get well soon mate
, to Jac you are doing a fine job on this thread hope all is well
July 29, 2023 at 23:04 #1657110What a lovely surprise Nick..so great to see you back on our Thread and as you can see we are still bashing those bookies..
Well Graham is.
What a great race Hukum ran..well done.
Must have been something wrong with Auguste Rodin, that run was beyond dreadful.
Well done Nathan getting so high up the free list in TTF being the likely leader in Graham’s TRF TTF comp..you have been going great guns with your Stable this year keep it up.
As for me I can’t wait for the Swap Window to open so that I can get a couple of fresh horses in.
The Cliff Horses all ran as expected with not one of them getting placed.
I think we all need to pay Father Chezza a visit..lol 🤣😂😅I did manage to find winners at Newmarket this afternoon..all favourites and none in my 3 horses selections..
The July Course Summer Saturdays are really tough races to crack but the most impressive win of the day came from Isle Of Jura ridden by Calum Shepherd and in the first race for the 2yo’s Godolphin’s Aablan won his maiden with a bit of coaxing from James Doyle to get going up the hill.
He’s a lovely colt by Dubawi but still a little babyish in the winners enclosure. He’ll definitely improve for that run and who knows we might have seen a Guineas winner today.. you never know at Newmarket.
Jac
It was a great day.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 30, 2023 at 11:06 #1657148Sounds a great day at Newmarket Jac, just a pity that Auguste Rodin
ran such a poor race, surely something wrong there, they can’t put
it all down to the ground. O’Brien needs to stop the hype talk, he’s
in danger of becoming a laughing stock, despite being a great trainer.Nathan, you are flying at the moment, especially in the competitions,
there’s no substitute for talant. Well done
Great to see you drop in Nick, and thanks I’m feeling a little better,
I’ll settle for that at the moment
Many thanks to Raymo & and his better half
for organising the Goodwood
Competition, It’s just the kind of medicine I need right now
I hope we all have a great week
July 30, 2023 at 15:37 #1657184I’m jumping in here on the Big G bandwagon – but I see and read you have been through the rough there Graham and Marjorie hasn’t had it easy- and here’s hoping Graham your immediate health issues(and compo memory 😊) improves quickly. We are all a bit in the same boat as the years tick by and I wish you both and everyone in here health and happiness for now and the future.
🙏
I do enjoy reading this thread and it is rather special as it glows. I play catch up and read the posts from time to time. I don’t linger here though just ‘temporarily resident’. It’s drizzling outside – bit of a gloomy day in Bankbroke and I doubt I’ll venture out today ! Very suitable weather for splash posting though

toodle pip all.
July 30, 2023 at 16:22 #1657192That’s very much appreciated Gamble, you know I’m a fan and
you’re very welcome in here anytime.
I’m starting to pick up a little, I think the 3rd dose of antibiotics
is finally doing something. Waiting for the X-ray results, but I’m
pretty sure it’s just a really nasty infection. Probably Flu before
Christmas and Covid in the Spring and some other stuff has lowered
my immunity. I think I’ll go back to battening down the hatches for
a while.Thankfully Marjorie is definitely on the up, and thanks for asking
after her too.You take care of yourself, as you said, none of us are getting any
younger. Where the hell did I put that picture of Dorian Gray
July 30, 2023 at 16:51 #1657200Forgot to to roll out the red carpet and put out the marmalade sandwiches with Gamble paying us a visit (oh no that’s Paddington isn’t it) well close enough both cute and cuddly in their own way.
Nice to see you here Gamble and glad you enjoy reading the Thread, welcome anytime.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 30, 2023 at 17:14 #1657204That’s very kind Big G and thank you for your thoughts and let’s hope there are more Hocus Hukums around the corner for you.
The big clean up 😄
July 30, 2023 at 17:23 #1657206Hi Tippi, sort of wrote over you there apologies. Thank you for your red glowing greeting. Yes it is a very warm thread and I haven’t seen anything like it in my extensive interweb travels over years. You’re the instigator you are the firestarter and it’s all power to your elbow.
Good luck with your bets some from a cliff I know
July 30, 2023 at 17:35 #1657210There is a rather nice ambiance in this thread and gamble has more of a bull in a china shop approach and intensity so I avoid or limit my visits to retain the harmony. I am very comfortable as a lurker too. I visit all sections at various times. I thought Nathan summed up the forum very well in one of his posts today. Now that’s a man that gets everywhere!
Thank you both for the open invite – I may pop in occasionally and park some splash – it may be unrelated to the discussion – and then buzz off quickly.July 30, 2023 at 17:57 #1657215Don’t worry – I may not 🚫
I have quite an odd sense of humour so take it with a pinch Tippi Graham and all
July 30, 2023 at 18:09 #1657220It’s been a very real pleasure..

WOOOOOOSHHH
July 30, 2023 at 19:16 #1657228Just out of interest – the psychology of gambling has always interested me – but never enough to talk about it ( removed 😭)
