    Two small bets to follow..

    2.30 Meydan

    Rashwan – Win – 9/2
    Bryntshe – WW – 14/1

Both ran runner up in their last race and have potential to go one better.
Bryntshe, in particukar, had a wide draw and is now better placed

    Fingers crossed. :good: Jac

    OMG that was harsh
Though Maximized might have got there but no..

Godolphin struggling so far today. At 4/11 WOT very well supported.

Back to the drawing board with one deflated tyre left needing air.🫣 Jac

That was impressive Nick he had the dream run through.. Arabian Story got pushed wide but he’s better than that.

I really loved the way the grey horse Dioptase 4th 50/1 stayed on.. he’s in my notebook today and Native American – 3rd too. :good:

    Good result :good:

Well done Nick with your double yesterday and Jac you had one of
Nick’s 2 with Mothecombe well done both of you :good:
Easy to say now but I would have been interested in Sean in
    the 1st race.

I didn’t see any of the racing, I was away most of the day
seeing Mr Guhan. He’s incredible, just because of my type
of cough he thought it worth checking out my Trachea. Sure
enough, there was a problem with two chords, or pipes,
collapsing and rubbing each other which gave me the vibrating
sound in my cough. Sorry for going on about him but I think the
man is a genius after sending me for tests for Polymyalgia rhematica
which detected that. The steroids have brought on sa big difference.

Anyway, back to racing. I’ve backed 2 in the 1.40 at Fairyhouse.
    Drumgill 9/1 Win Bet365
He won well over C/D last time out. He was raised 8 lbs for that
but the young jockey takes 7lbs off. Every chance I think.

St Faz 22/1 E/W Paddy Power.
I should have been on the ball earlier, I missed the 33s :-(
Not to worry, 22s are decent odds. Gordon Elliot seems to have
found winning ways again this year. I reckon the 4th last time
out over hurdles at Thurles was no more than a prep for this.
He would have finished closer if he hadn’t gone through the 3rd
    last losing ground.

Poor turnout at Kempton barring the Lanzerote I’m cosidering an
outsider in Iberico Lord. He’s 33/1 5 places with Bet365 and although
his last few races haven’t been that encouraging, he will get the ground
he wants and it should help him get the distance which he has struggled
at when the ground is soft.

That’s me for now and I’ve just clocked that Fairyhouse is off ( I started
this ages ago and then had breakfast). So I’m just left with the Kempton
fancy, which I have now taken at 33s with Bet365.

    Bloody weather

I hope everyone is doing well! Doesn’t sound like the bloody weather in the UK has been very nice.

Sounds like you are in good hands with Mr Guhan, Graham. Hopefully he’ll get you all sorted out and back to full health mate!

Not such a good day at Meydan for you Jac. That’s racing – plenty of ups and downs. Then weather disrupts racing today. I had one of my TTF on the card in Ireland. I see that the Fairyhouse card has been rescheduled for Wednesday, 14 January.

All is well here – slowly easing back into January and the new year. The chaos and political BS here continues to get worse. Just thinking about it makes my blood pressure soar.

    Take Care Everyone

Thanks Andre and Nick, good to hear from you both and I’m glad to say
that my outsider, Iderico Lord which I took at 33/1 won. He went off at
22/1 so I reckon a bit of stable money was put down. It was my nap
in my Pick 3 Competition and my win choice in Rummy’s Saturday Handicap.
I also had Edward Stone at 7/2 I was more than a bit lucky that the favourite
unseated his rider ( I didn’t see the race) but I’m shocked to learn that
Kalif Du Berlai was fatally injured. That takes the gloss off of everything
today. Both Nicky Henderson and Harry Cobden, and all the conections must
be in despair about today. Sometimes this sport is just too hard, I’m glad
I didn’t see the race
