Great call BigG with Iberico lord
January 11, 2026 at 16:14 #1750144Brilliant call with Iberico Lord Graham
My Saturday was a complete non event but I’m plodding on always hoping for a nice double figure winner. Hope you had a good return from Paddy on that one Graham.
Your Mr.Guham is an absolute Saint 💫 he obviously listens to his patients which so many Doctors fail to do nowadays, we need more like him.
Nice to hear from you Andre and hope the orange monster isn’t laying down too many laws in your part of the World. The whole World seems to have gone over the precipice at the moment, cannot believe what we are hearing on a daily basis.
Stay safe and keep warm.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 11, 2026 at 16:24 #1750146As you said Graham terrible news about the lovely young horse Kalif Du Berlais.😪
He had so much more to give. Really feel for his handler who must be feeling quite sick today as we all are. Also the loss of brave fighter Langer Dan from a heart condition.💔 At least he got to spend his last days at home surrounded by those who loved and cared for him. All anyone could wish for really.
RIP both lovely horses 🌹
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 11, 2026 at 18:29 #1750150I looked at Iberico Lord and can’t believe I didn’t back; glad that someone did. Spent most of today wishing that yesterday’s racing had been cancelled due to the weather. I often think that when a race is rescheduled and there is a fatality, which sometimes happens. Even though I only half watch the racing I still can’t get the bits that I did see out of my head. And I was listening to poor Peso’s race on racing radio so I started the afternoon feeling very down. I don’t know how the stable staff rise above all of this. Also think of the poor veterinarians at Kempton yesterday.
Something I’ve been thinking about recently (and this is the only place where I dare say it) but was a lot of Paul Nicholls success as a trainer down to input from his previous wife ( wives) ?January 13, 2026 at 08:05 #1750312Decs for Friday up at usual place
January 13, 2026 at 18:03 #1750362Thanks Nick & Happy New Year Moe
It wasn’t the best start to 2026 losing so many horses in one week, devasted about it.
We have to try and look at the positives like Graham’s big winner and another Friday evening at Meydan…I’m warming up already thinking about it…⛱️ 🌞 🐎 ..
Best of luck and keep safe and well..Jac

JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 15, 2026 at 17:39 #17505465.00 Meydan (Bonus Race)
Dubai Treasure – WIN
Riyabovka – EW
(Rev.Forecast)With only 6 runners have looked at this race quite intently and looking at how she has run her past races I have a feeling that although she hasn’t yet won at Group 2 level Dubai Treasure could make all. She will certainly stay the distance and I’ve seen her win at Newmarket very impressively.

I’m not a fan of the possible favourite Quid Pro Quo even though she is a Gp.2 winner over the distance. She hasn’t run for 11 months and her jockey is well out of form.
Dubai Beach could get a place here but has only won over 1 mile at Class 4 level and at Class 3 over 7f.
Riyabovka has run in a Group 1 where she finished 9th to Fallen Angel at Deauville last year only 2 and a half lengths behind her after being carried right.
This is an extremely good piece of form and it could be that she might provide a surprise tomorrow so would be my EW bet.
Miss Of Change seems to prefer to run over longer distances her best being a Listed Win over 1 mile 1 1/2f and she has run in Gp.2 company but came last.

Finally Capitana Blinghas won a Listed race and ran 2nd in a Listed race over 1 Mile in August 2025.
Best of luck and it will be interesting to see how this tricky little race works out.
Have fun. See you tomorrow.

xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 16, 2026 at 11:57 #1750615A few in that have a point to prove Jac, this is his chance to get back on track after obviously a few problems
Good luck will be cheering him home
January 16, 2026 at 12:42 #1750619To be honest I’m a little worried about his draw Nick, almost the same as his last run. However, he is down from Listed to Handicap class and if Will Buick can somehow get him switched to a more favourable position he could show a turn of foot to win this. 🏆
Ever the optimist..Jac
