John I think you’ve got an excellent bet e/w 5 places 18/1 on
Ghaly. I can’t get a bet with Ladbrokes so had to settle for 16s.
I’ll be quite happy if that one comes in for us
January 10, 2025 at 11:49 #1717764Had to have a couple more pennies on 25s ew PP 5 places
As Jac pointed out SBS again not firing early at Meydan, fingers crossed it starts happening todayJanuary 10, 2025 at 12:26 #1717768Looking forward to watching this afternoon and just went in a small EW on Ghaly at 20’s too good to miss if SBS is back to form.
I had no idea in the Bonus Race this afternoon so did them all to finish 1st
wonder what would happen in a dead heat..lol😂🤣😅 I can’t remember one ever happening at Meydan.Back later and let’s bash those bookies today.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 10, 2025 at 14:22 #1717775Wow what a race that was Graham..I thought your Camden Colt had it for sure but Creative Story had more in the locker and was very impressive.
Well that’s the Bonus Race sorted and 200 points for the winner, I would never have predicted the other two’s places so happy with how I played it.

I”m going to invest a little of my winnings on…
GAMEKEEPER in the 2.40
He won it last year so fingers crossed for the double.
Best of luck
Jac

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 10, 2025 at 15:08 #1717779well done Jac with Creative Story
January 10, 2025 at 15:11 #1717780Really liked that performance even if he went up to 94 could still be a workable mark
January 10, 2025 at 15:36 #1717782Thanks Nick
and now Symbol Of Honour has got his nose in front in a hard fought finish
My doubles and trebles are looking promising with either Arabian Knight or First Conquest needed to win the 3.50.
Have a comby forecast with the 3 Godolphin horses in the next.
I hope Ghaly runs well for you and Graham.

What a looker Symbol Of Honour is
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 10, 2025 at 15:50 #1717783this has been some gamble on this fav, early yesterday 9/4 was on off er 365, well done again Jac and good luck
January 10, 2025 at 15:56 #1717785brilliant Jac First Conquest Nap 11/2
Time to leave SBS horse alone till they show something, no excuses just out like a light. But at least i could cheer yours on Jac
January 10, 2025 at 16:03 #1717787
First Conquest
I didn’t get the 10/1 Nick but I had him in several multiple bets and my bookie can consider himself well and truly bashed today. 😂🤣Sad fact that the SBS horses are still underperforming, best watched for a while until the tide turns.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 10, 2025 at 16:30 #1717789Pushing the luck but now have to back..
5.25 Meydan
REGAL CONNECTION – Win – 15/8
KALIDASA -EW – 5/1
Rev.ForecastKalidasa is so beautifully bred by Frankel/DarRe Mi (Dubawi) and cost a mear 2.8 million winning his Maiden.
It’s been a real pick me up today as have been nursing a pinched nerve in my leg last few days..ouch.
Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 10, 2025 at 16:44 #1717790Sounds like you’re having an excellent day Jac! Well done
always love to see some good bookie bashing going on! I missed the bonus race today
Oh well….Cold and snowy here, just a couple of inches for now. Fortunately I have no plans to go anywhere today.
I hope everyone is doing well!
Take Care
January 10, 2025 at 17:33 #1717794You’re absolutely killing them Jac, I love it

I’m having a last ditch bet on Hamaamm who is an outsider but
doesn’t deserved to be 40/15.35 Hamaamm 40/1
January 10, 2025 at 18:02 #1717796Well it was a cracker of a race Graham and I thought Kalidasa had it in the bag until Thundering did precisely that and stole his glory.
However I can honestly say Paddy Power has paid for my Newmarket Annual Badge today.
the best win this year.Andre so sorry you missed the Bonus Race today and hope you can make some ground up next week.
We’re all totally shocked at the news coming to us from LA with the devastating fires that have robbed people of their homes, lives and livelihoods.
Hope you and your family are keeping safe and well.
Good luck to all for tomorrows competitions. Jac.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 11, 2025 at 12:48 #1717867Yes I’m with Jac on that Andre, it’s a real horror over in the States
with fires wiping out lives and lifetime possessions. I got the impression
from your last post Andre that you are safe and well. I hope so.I put one up in the “Big Races” which wouldn’t be in there barring it’s
a pretty lean time for quality racing in the UK. I thought I’d post it
here in case it wasn’t picked up ……….Hubrisko was once owned by none other than Mrs Ricci and trained by
Willie Mullins. His last race for that partnership was a resounding win
at Killarney. I’m not sure what happened (maybe someone can fill that in)
but he was off for the next 463 days before being transferred to Harry
Derham. Obviously he was going to need his first race and there was the
danger that he might not be the same horse again. What caught my eye was
coming to the last couple of fences he was in with the no hope brigade,
and not seen again on camera (I didn’t see the race live) however he left
those out the back and finished a hd off 6th. That tells me that he still
has a bit to offer.Bear in mind that this was a horse that went off 6/4 fav in the Grade 2
Ballymore Novices Hurdle in Nov 22 at Cheltenham (finished 4th to Hermes
Allen) which was a much better race than this. There are other bits of
form which show he was pretty decent in his day. He’s given 134 by the
handicapper, which obviously because of his long spell off the track and
7th last time wouldn’t raise that, but his last win, in his last race for
Mullins, he trounced the field (2nd was 13L back) and ran off 137. If he is
half the horse he used to be then the 28/1 (bet365) seems a decent E/W bet.
I reckon he wont go off much over 20s, or if the stable fancy him, considerably
less.Good luck today all (and the usual for me Jac, no points in the bonus race)
January 11, 2025 at 14:05 #1717892The fires around Los Angeles are just devastating. They have to be one of the worst natural disasters in the history of that city. Thousands of homes destroyed, so many people have lost absolutely everything. Where do you even start to rebuild your lives…… just horrible. I am thankful I am a long way from the devastation, just dealing with a few inches of snow and cold weather right now.
You had yourself quite a day yesterday Jac!
getting your annual badge paid for by Paddy Power is outstanding! You certainly picked an interesting outsider in Hubrisko Graham. I just saw he’s been backed into 20’s. Surely he has a good EW chance. Fingers crossed for you.
I will have to try and pay more attention to the Godolphin comp. in the coming weeks.
Take Care Everyone!
