Is she the first No Nay Never to win a Guineas?May 3, 2026 at 15:43 #1765903Precise ran like she was undercooked. Took it up and i thought ‘here we go’ then seem to get tired.

She was my only bet of the day. I backed her Antepost for this just after she crossed the line in her prep.

I’d say yes..

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 3, 2026 at 15:44 #1765907Well done, GM. She looked like a mature horse with further improvement to come.
May 3, 2026 at 15:46 #1765908Having a prep run was a huge help as a lot of Aidan’s first time out have been found wanting for fitness and Precise was the same today. Winner looks a sprinter but had no problems at a mile.
The one I would take out of the race is the 5th placed Abashiri on just her second lifetime run (first on turf after a Kempton maiden win) she was all over the place going into the dip to the extent that Buick was very unbalanced himself but she kept on nicely once meeting the rising ground under gentle handling.
May 3, 2026 at 16:01 #1765912Delighted with the run of Evolutionist but True Love proved yet again the genius of AOB , as this horse looked like a 6f-7f specialist. However No Nay Never did produce a top mile filly in Alcohol Free and a Guineas runner-up in Wichita so there were pedigree clues. As for the Oaks , Venetian Lace ran a great trial and lets see what Aiden has. Diamond Necklace looks his best candidate but the Cheshire Oaks usually throws up a Ballydoyle contender. Amelia Earhart is his main entry in that but the very impressive I’m The One also lies up for the Gosdens.

The Prettiest Star would have got 3rd if she had handled the dip better
Liked the way winner looked straight over at Francesca once out of her lorry. Wide awake!
