Not a fan of fish curry Nathan it makes me feel really sick (Sorry Alex) My racing friend Maggie invited us round for a meal one evening and she had taken great time in preparing a mixed fish dish, a sort of a fish paella with octopus, prawns, monkfish well just about everything you could throw in the pot taken her two days to get all the ingredients together. When I got my overlarge portion presented I was really struggling to eat it and didn’t want to offend her..so I ate all the rice which halved it and then asked for some more seasoning, when she left the room I got out some paper tissues that I put on my lap and when no one was looking bit by bit managed to wrap it up and stuff it in my handbag..
Nearly fainted when she started to offer seconds to us all she’d made enough to feed an army.
Have to start watching Survivor too Andre I certainly survived that one…just

Looking forward to seeing Snow Lantern tomorrow Nathan, haven’t seen Noonday Gun yet have to find him.
You can find Etonian replay on Sporting Life website Andre, free to join and you can keep track of all your horses there too if you want to in My Stable…Jac

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 25, 2020 at 13:35 #1494982I’m not a fan of fish curry either, Jac
You got to let them try these things..😂Snow Lantern made an encouraging start or finish as was slowly away. Think she’ll be winning races soon
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 25, 2020 at 13:49 #1494984Thanks for the race viewing tips. Not sure I can register as I live in the US, but I will give it a try.
I just watched Snow Lantern and thought she ran on well. Should be in the winners circle before long. Dhahabi also won well. Keep an eye on Dinoo running very green and almost caught Dhahabi. One for the notebook!
July 25, 2020 at 14:23 #1494992Well done jac with Ice Sprite, she won that nicely. I’ve
basically just bet my competition choices and reserves today, I’ll
stick at that. Good luck everyone
July 25, 2020 at 15:06 #1495002Snow Lantern ran a fantastic race once the penny dropped Nathan, looked like her old mum running on in the Nell Gwynn before winning the 1000 Guineas. She’s inherited her turn of foot.

Best of luck today Graham and Andre, didn’t realise you lived across the pond and hope you can get registered with Sporting Life it’s a very informative site. Really liked the look of Dinoo another for the book.

Sorry haven’t been to your Thread lately it’s just that I haven’t really had a lot of confidence in my choices l and miss getting my notebook together from paddock viewing at Newmarket..it’s not the same on TV.
Look forward to seeing more of you here next week from Tuesday onwards to discuss the daily runners at Goodwood and hopefully find a few winners..

I think ELARQAM has fallen out of love with racing darren..time to apply for the 2nd job I think.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 26, 2020 at 12:25 #1495098Morning all, I’ve got 2 running today,
2.10 York Get Knotted 12/1
He’s hopefully my best chance of a winner. I watched his last race a few times and
if I’d been a Steward I would have wanted an explanation from Paul Mulrennan. He
travelled widest which lost him a bit, and that’s fair enough, but when he got into
the straight, he had clear air in front of him, but decided to tuck in behind and
didn’t imo ask the horse for any response thereafter. He was plumb last. It was
his 1st run since October, and he dotted up at Ayr earlier that month, and it
screamed to me of not wanting to give the horse a hard, or any kind of race. I
bookmarked him immediately. He’s a C/D winner and his regular jockey Callum
Rodrigeuz is back on.2.30 Ascot Dash Of Spice 12/1
He is a seriously good horse and won the Duke Of Edinburgh stakes over C/D at
the Royal meeting 2 years back. He came out after 727 days off and ran a good
race over 14f at Newmarket, where understandably he tired a couple out and was
rightly eased down by De Sousa. Whilst there is the chance he could bounce, he’s
a sturdy sort and hopefully the run at York a couple of weeks back should have
him ready to run well here. The market certainly indicates that he is fancied,
he’s dropped for the 12s to best priced 15/2.I’ve done the double with them and that will probably do me for today with the
horses. I’m getting quite excited about the US Golf final round tonight, I’ve
got a 150/1 and a 66/1 shot just behind the leaders. Either would suit me very
well and all Schwartzel (150/1) who is 3rd has to do for E/W is stay in the top
8. Paddy Power are very generous with the golf.So that’s me for the day, plenty going on and lots to look forward to.
Good luck everyone, that’s a couple of good days racing, I hope you’re on
a few winners
July 26, 2020 at 14:30 #1495112That was unfortunate for Get Knotted. He took his time to get going, but was coming
through really well, couldn’t get through and had to stop riding for 4 or 5 strides.
It was too late in the race to get him going enough to close so Rodrigeuz let him
drift home. I hope he gets a pound or 2 off for that run but I’ll be having a go
regardless when he’s next out.I’m hoping for a bit more luck with Dash Of Spice, he’s off in a min
July 26, 2020 at 14:37 #1495114Oh well, looks like it’s off to the golf now
July 26, 2020 at 18:22 #1495126Hope you enjoyed your golf Graham, I didn’t see any racing today as we had family round for a barbecue and they have just gone home so I’ll be catching up tonight. Sorry you didn’t get a winner today but all of Goodwood to come next week and top class racing you”ll be firing them in again..
Just noticed that Barney Roy won in Munich today (I”ll have to try and get that replay). I have him in my Tote 10 to Follow and wasn’t expecting any points as it was run in Munich so was surprised to see he had been awarded 30 points today
Look forward to getting our bets together for next weeks action..looks like another big day for Frankie with Stradivarius on Tuesday.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 26, 2020 at 19:33 #1495134Trip in my last on here put up bets for Goodwood add these ones to
DEFOE 7/2
ENGLISH KING 3/1
VALERINA MESSALINA 8/1July 26, 2020 at 19:55 #1495137Will do Darren & good luck..
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 27, 2020 at 09:54 #1495183I was going to wait until Goodwood tomorow, but I’ve got a notion for De Name Escapes Me
in the 6.45 at Galway. He’s 10 now, but had his problems and hasn’t been over raced. He ran
well in 2nd last month at the Curragh over 2m and I think this will be right up his street.
I like the booking of Derek O’Connor, he’ll creep him into the race and hit the front late
on. I grabbed the 12/1 with Bet365, I doubt that will last very long so get your skates
on if you fancy him
July 27, 2020 at 10:47 #1495189Thanks Graham
I was also going to sit this one out today but saw your post and as luck would have it dear old Paddy P had given me a freebet and a Power Up so I have 10/1 on DNEM each way..on the house so to speak.
Paddy Power are also offering another freebet if your horse places in that race so it’s a good all round chance…best of luck .Jac
