Just went back and watched it again Nick it was a pretty reckless move and My Vision could have broken a leg.
If he”s got the nerve to appeal which he probably will I’d double his ban.. :negative:

Spot on Jac, when the ban was announced Jason Weaver said an appeal would be forthcoming
I am in your camp if he appeals they should warn him they could would increase ban if it failed. It looked pretty horrid to me

Yes the worst I’ve seen, it was sickening to see the horse stumble and if a jockey had been thrown going at such speed who knows what might have happened, thank goodness they all came out of it unscathed.. :rose:

I try and stick up for jockeys as much as possible but although he didn’t intend for a incident to happen he did deliberately let the horse drift over without correcting it. He was trying to be clever and not leave enough room up the inner but it backfired when the horse went for the rail sharper than he wanted it to. Deserves the ban 💯

It looks like I’ve missed all the action today, and by the sound of it
there was plenty of it. Just watched Boss Power’s race, and I’m in
complete agreement with you guys, that was more than careless by Havlin,
it was downright dangerous. Hopefully by the time he looks at it he will
change his mind and just accept his punishment.

I watched the Bal Mal race a few times Nathan, thought it was quite interesting.
When Zulu Zander is leading them, Prince Of Rome makes his move and goes for home
before the 2f marker. Bal Mal keeps it together until after the 2 pole and then puts
in his effort. I wondered if Heard could feel the gas running out on POR and just tries
to keep him going by urging him up the neck. It does seem to be keeping him going,
perhaps even closing slightly very late on.

I noticed in the comments on it’s previous 6 races that they all mentioned “weakened
final furlong” or “weakened final stages”. It got me thinking and I watched all those
races. On a couple of ocassions the jockey goes for the whip, but only once. It had no
effect on him at all. Franny Norton also has him in a close finish and also loses out,
and like Heard doesn’t resort to the whip at all, just urges him up the neck. The ride
by Mr A J O’Neill at Kempton is the only one where the whip is used 3 times, he quickly
reverses back into the pack from leading.

I think he’s one of these horses that doesn’t respond to urging by the whip, in fact it
seems to have the oposite effect. Just looking at yesterday’s race I’d agree with you
that it looks like he was not given a hard race at the end, but maybe that’s the way he
has to be ridden. On the other hand, I could be putting 2 and 2 together and making 96

    Thanks BigG
I was thinking that maybe the case.
The trouble with not watching many low case races you miss out on quirks like that.

Agreed Nathan..with all of us casting a critical eye over races like that it’s so much more likely to point us towards future winners than just taking the racing pundits summing up when more often than not they haven’t even seen the race.
Might be interesting to follow these horses next time to see how they get on…

    Fairy Dust
    Arabic Charm
    Bright Start
    Arabian Romance
    Miss Jingles
    Geranium
    Enemy
    My Vision
    Bal Mal
    Prince Of Romance

Quite a mixture there so interesting to chart their progress and add any others that may have impressed in running, been denied a clear run or caught our eye. :rose: Jac

Just watched that Boss Power race. Wow – that was horrible, very lucky no horse or jockey was hurt! 10 days seems very lenient to me!

Horrific wasn’t it Euro he’s probably watched it several times now and realises he has no hope of an an appeal. Can’t see John Gosden being too thrilled with his ride either risking his horse like that and with total disregard to other jockeys and horses.

I agree Jac! I’d be surprised to see him ride for Gosden anytime soon.

Just a couple of races at Sandown this afternoon…

    4.55 .. One Ruler 13/8(enhanced)
Always like to follow the boys in blue when they run a decent 2yo in a maiden and One Ruler looks the part today :good:
Not a great Roger Charlton fan but Khaled Abdullah’s looks good with Ryan Moore on board…
    6.30 .. Conscious ..WIN 2/1
    Can’t leave out…
Sir Roderic EW 8/1 who has a nice draw, is in peak form and has won over course and distance.

    Rev.forecast .. Conscious & Sir Roderic
    Combi double…
    One Ruler
    Conscious & Sir Roderic

Hope One Ruler gets a better run than My Vision yesterday.

Best of luck if you are having a bet today..Jac :bye:

    Hi Darren :bye:
Good luck with your horses with you all the way with Elarqam  and nice price on Enable. :good:

Haven’t got a lot of notebook horses this season yet but Joni spotted a nice 2yo in Pomelo the other day and Martyn Meade’s METHOD is pretty useful too.

Best draw a big fat line through my horses today One Ruler got carried across as he came out of the stalls but had every chance if he was good enough but I don’t mind because think we’ve seen a good one win at Sandown today in the form of ETONIAN 28/1 trained by Richard Hannon for Julia Woods. He also was hampered at the start but came with an electrifying finish to make the rest look like snails…into the notebook with him :good: take a look at his race Nathan if you haven’t seen it.
    :good:
Least said about Conscious the better this is the third non show for him and I should have listened to myself regarding Roger Charlton.
Sandown has seen a few incidents over the last couple of days and that round course probably catches a lot of inexperienced horses out.

Only small stakes just for a mid week interest and Newmarket back tomorrow and Saturday…hurrah :good:

Hope you did better if you had a bet today…Jac :rose:

Jac, I miss that race because Alex was preparing tea.
Bloody fish curry, his idea… “Dad, the skin won’t come off” “Dad, Daaaaddd can you chop the onions” “Dad, Dad, Daaaaddd, can you stir it I need to look on my phone”
His idea, the ingredients cost a bomb, he never ate all his either.. We sat on the sofa as are binge watching a series of The Amazing Race and wanted to finish the current series we were watching yesterday.
Anyway to cut the long story short I managed to end up with his food on my lap…

Etonian was very impressive, I’d like to see what Hannon has to say about that one. A decent enough pedigree, I wouldn’t be surprised if the boys in blue come sniffing around. Have note booked him.. :good:

    SNOW LANTERN going to Ascot

She is slightly more sharper than her half brother, Noonday Gun, who is also out of our Guineas winner Sky Lantern and she’s done everything we’ve asked of her on the gallops. We took her away to Kempton the other day where she worked very well so she’s ready to go and we’ll learn a lot more about her after this.

Sounds like a lovely fun evening Nathan ;-) The Amazing Race is a good show, although I prefer Survivor.

I’ll have to keep an eye on Snow Lantern tomorrow. I haven’t been able to find a video of Etonian winning just yet, but will keep looking.
